That is a remote possibility that can be considered. My main reason is to visit some Friar Brothers in Joliet and at St Peters in the Loop.
Joliet is like 40 minutes west of where i am!! We can do coffee!!

Count on it! My former spiritual leader is Br Thom Smith, O.F.M .... he is the head of the Franciscan Vocation Office for our Province, which is located in Joliet.

I do not road rage, i would love to do 80 in my truck!! But its governored to only do 65. I just shove people out of my way.

So that is why the trucks pass each other with a 1mph speed differential backing up traffic a mile. I never considered some of those truck have governors. This place is educational. But it appears I need to take back quite a few trucker curses now.

Yep, most trucks are governored, some only do 55, 60 mph.

They are difficult to stop...and have 15+ very closely ratioed gears that all combine to make for a very large rolling object that does not do anything quickly.

Got it. I give them their clearance. Never cut them off or hover in blind spots. But without knowing why it was happening the micro speed pass was more than annoying on our two lanes.

Most people do not understand that it take us over 500 feet to come to a complete sudden stop when we are loaded. A loaded tractor trailer weighs about 80,000 lb, try stoppin that in 10 feet or less.

Add to the fun factor....a sheared kingpin
When i was in trucking school,, yes you do have to go to school to learn how to operate these beasts, my classroom teacher told us that in that moment of a quick decision, you have to decide whether or not its gonna them or you, if they want to be stupid enough to cause you to make that decision, always choose yourself because of what we are driving, an 80,000 lbs weapon of mass destruction, chances are i will survive. That was pretty eyeopening to hear from a teacher.

Yes, you looked at the poster's nick; fishee.
Actually my bad for shortening (no, not lard) the nick.
BTW, it's more of a gnat than a fly.

Good Morning Whiskey and all AUers!:)

Wisdom: Life Potential
Each person possesses a precious inner treasure of infinite worth. To remain unaware of this and stumble about in spiritual poverty is a tragic waste. In contrast, a person fully awakened to the jewel-like dignity of their own life is capable of truly respecting that treasure in others.
