What anti-rejection meds is he on ? I'm on Neoral cyclosporine, it's old school for anti-rejection meds but, in over 16 years I've never... never had any rejection. The other one is Cell Cept. When the sawbones did my neck surgery last year, he said I was a dinosaur.. that he knew of no one else still on Neoral. But for me.. it's worked.

That Pred. is some nasty shit... I was on 50mg. a day for over a year before they started to back it down, still took another year to get off it. Makes your insides feel like someone is dragging their fingernails across a chalk board.. I gained 115 lbs. in the first 4 months after transplant. Big puffy face !

Just 27 a day ? Or 27 twice a day ? I took 37 in the morning and 34 at night when I first had mine, took a couple of years before they started to cut them back. Got down to 8 in the morn. and 6 at night, till a couple of years ago when I went to stage 3, back up now that I'm in stage 4 renal failure, 19 in the morning and 16 at night, 4 mid-day.
no need to but you are welcome to stay and chatI would love to post a pic of my sweetie from V-day (only part of her), but I don't share those......

I lost 76 lbs. in 30 days, after the 3 heart-attacks, 6 weeks later was 110 when transplanted, ( looked like I'd been dead a month), 4 months later, 225 lbs, and kept gaining for another 3 months.. Topped off at 263, got CMV twice !! Finally after 4 years got back to 185.
great job now stay healthy hun
