Glad the snow is meltin there, 51 here right now, weird. I am glad all is goin well and you are doin well, makes my day.

My wife and I went wine tasting yesterday in Lodi. Good wine, good folks, and a good time.

We decided to stop at Costco on the way home. We picked up a bunch of meat for me to smoke, including a prime grade brisket. Brisket is considered the ultimate meat by some in the BBQ world and this should be an interesting cook. We did throw it in the freezer as this week is already planned out food wise.

Tomorrow I'm smoking a pork butt to make pulled pork. I'm going to go low and slow so I'll get it on early morning.

Thursday is the big day for grand baby #2. My daughter is having a c-section so we know the day unless she goes into labor early. Pray for her and the baby as every little bit helps.

You need to retire so you can do that all the time my friend, just think of the time you could spent with wifey and grands.;)
I used to love to smoke meats :(

I can't explain why I love this version of this old standard. It almost makes me cry. My brothers were in little league. The ball park was a block away from our home. So many hours in the bleachers with the community, with hot dogs and snow cones. I guess memories of childhood summers make everybody sentimental.
