Looks pretty cool! :) Trying to figure if it's made for righties or lefties, though

I don't think it'd matter. Right hand uses pointer finger, left hand uses thumb

Then it'd be a "must use only at home" device. On the off chance a cop pulls you over for anything, and you happen to have a half flask, half mod device, I can guarantee you wouldn't be getting off with a warning...

I like it. Not sure if I would spend $300 on a DNA 30 mod. But it sure is nice looking and different. If it had the YiHi SX350 board in it, I probably would buy one.

The SX350 wouldn't fit the same form-factor as the DNA30, plus the price would end up being ~$350.

Even if I WOULD drop the money on this, I couldn't bear to spend the $25 every time the batteries need changing.

Sent from the Otter Box around my Galaxy S4.

There are 2 VTC5's inside. Those are worth $20-$25 depending where you buy them. The battery service basically covers the price of the batteries. There wouldn't be a whole lot of difference in price if you had to buy them yourself.

I think it looks cool! It could be mistaken for a real flask and that wouldn't be good. Joe showed his on this past mod envy show.

Well now that Evolv's patent is official, I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese chips/vw devices become very difficult to buy

Yeah, but on TOP of the charge, you have to send your device in. Which means downtime in vaping. I'd much rather just be able to change them myself.

That's if you owned one mod. I doubt this would be someones first mod. I like the look and form factor of it.

I love the design. Very nicely made too, from what I've seen in Phil's review of it.
Irony though, I actually have a similar real English Pewter flask from my great-uncle that is about the same shape.

It would be just terrible if I grabbed the wrong one, eh? :D

i would even like to see the shells of these sold out of china, such a good design

Knowing China, the manufacturer would probably sell you just the sell if you asked .. A manufacturer showed me pics of their clone prototype yesterday, before anodizing and the battery slots are milled. This particular manufacturer has installed a 35W chip which is interesting.

hmm didnt think to ask. milled battery slots though, that may need to be fixed considering no where to send it if battery defects lol

if the batteries are sealed in there, there is no way to replace them if necessary. unless vapor flask is willing to service clones but i doubt that

that wouldnt stop me from buying one though just would need to make sure they use vtc5s or something high quality

I vaped on one yesterday with an OZ22. Comfortable regardless of grip. If you hold it "backwards" meaning curved side out...the button just requires a gentle "hug" with your index finger between the first and second knuckle. Underpowered, but a marvelously designed and built bit of kit. Not sure I would spend that kind of money on this...but then I'm still shocked that I dropped $500 on the OZ.

When I said "milled battery slots" I meant for a V2 clone, which is self serve, you install your own batteries .. into the milled battery slots with end caps ;)

I have heard that from everyone who has held the authentic .. very comfortable to hold. :)

ahahaha, yeah we HOPE! The manufacturer that I spoke is also using the V1 pics on baba, but when I spoke to them they said it will be the V2 .. China drives me nuts sometimes because 98% of those product pages are useless.

Please baby jesus don't let this one be "lost in translation"

If the V2 gains the ability the change batteries without sending it in, I might have to get one of these.

Any update on when these clones might be coming and from who? I'd buy a real one right now if I could find one for Christ sake! I've never tried so hard to spend 300 bucks in my life.

You can get a DNA 40 off eBay for $60 and an empty hana box mod on fast tech for $20 and build it yourself. $80 < $300 lol

Vape Rev posted to their facebook that they'll have more in stock soon, I've searched instagram for #vaporflask and that's how I found vendors that had them in stock.

Thanks guys. Ill give it another go at hunting one of the 30 watt models down. As far as building my own, I've seen the empty vapor flask shells on fasttech I think it was for like 4 bucks, but I'm currently concentrating my diy efforts on juice making but I do plan to build my own mod sometime soon Just gotta get through the holidays first cuz I don't think the family would appreciate some homemade mods for Christmas!(non vapors they are)

Why hunt down a DNA30 when the 40's are out there for the same cost? If you check Vapor Flask's facebook, there's also a list of retailers, I'm sure that if Vape Rev is out of stock, you could call one of the other shops and have them ship you one.

Oh but the Temperature Control on the DNA40 is something you'll definitely enjoy even with a Russian or Kayfun. No ramp up time, no dry hits, if you're in the market for a Vapor Flask, definitely get the DNA40 instead of a used DNA30. And it looked like Vogue Vapor Lounge in NC had some in stock when I checked their FB.

Found one at one of listed authorized retailers there Phryes so thanks so much for the help I do really appreciate it. Now, and this is just a me being pig headed thing. This shop wanted 320 for the item and I refuse to pay any sort of a premium. IMHO an authorized retailer should have an authorized price. After hunting for a few days this just made me cranky as hell. I've heard nothing but good things about the folks at VF so this is in no way a troll against them or their product. However I personally think they have half assed the distribution angle of this thing. I mean set up a website, have a products tab then a checkout cart. Or you can have a bunch of mom and pop shoppes and the most pretentious vape shop in the country be your distribution. If you want somebody to spend 300 on an unnecessary item, you better make it easy. I'm sure they have lost.some other customers in this same way and while I'm sure I'm missing out on a very nice product Ill revisit when they aren't a PITA to get and in the meantime enjoy my rdNA 30 and the liter of VT nic I got for the same money Again thanks for the efforts P truly appreciated, even though I'm sure I sound just a bit insane!

I broke with the Benjamins and then got lucky and bought my Vapor Flask V2 a couple weeks ago at VapeRev $299 and then FedEx signature shipping, It is awesome but certainly up in the High End Mods shelf of my collection, BUT it is worth the price IMHO, however the clone is coming from Yiloong, will be interesting to see what sort of chip set they use, http://www.yiloong.com/html-en/product-sPUfBRyJVZgm-Yilloong-tech--Flask-MOD-VV/VW-50W.html and there's no way the quality or workmanship will be on par with the original as it is flawless, but I've been hearing of some chip problems with this Evolv DNA40 but they are taking all problems back and re-flashing the chips to work correctly.
Mine is just fine I think, I am wondering about the battery bar though.
There are only two batteries that will work in the Flask, LG H2's or Sony's, the LGs are tight in the tube, the Sonys are perfect, Sony's are spendy if you can find them, which by the way are on sale at 3 Sony VTC4 batteries for only $20 dollars and shipping is FREE.
http://www.ultravaping.com/product-p/h-ac-sony1070.htm .... ACT FAST
This Evolv DNA40 has the feature I am just in love with now the temperature settings ability, and now I'm using the NI200 pure nickel wire builds 35w or so at 500 degrees, but BE WARNED this wire is zero resistance DO NOT buy this nickel wire and try your regular kanthal type builds or you will have some SERIOUS issues and it is very trick but once you get it, it's is unbelievable vaping to the serious next level and I'll tell you what, that's a whole new ball game, just awesome.
But if I were to advise someone who has a tighter budget, look at the newest VaporShark rDNA, same chip set and half the price of the Flask..!

I'm not waiting on a clone of the Flask, or maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, I do that a lot but the clones are certainly coming and should all be removable batteries if they are trying to 1:1 however I have seen some of these clones that are showing that you'll have to remove 4 screws from the top deck, remove the top and then put in the batteries, that's no good..!
I got an email from Alibaba and there ready to ship but I don't know of any vendors yet, however I am positive they will be flooding the market before Xmas, well maybe not with the speed in shipping unless some vendors have their orders in today, I know the release only came to my mail box about Monday or so, here's a link I found for a pre-order but honestly this thing looks like crap and I'll say this, if this company does business the way their clone pictures look I'd advise everyone to PASS, the top of their flask is missing screws and the machining or finish looks horrid in these pictures.
You can also just Google Alibaba Vapor Flask V2 that's who sent me the notice of their Flask clone, this here is shameful a pre-order http://www.ezvaper.com/products/vapor-flask-v2-clone-preorder
By the way, one thing I noticed almost immediately when I went to Alibabas site to look at what they are showing as their clone of the Flask, first it seems they are having trouble keeping what the specs are straight, says one thing and then another, and also most sadly the pictures they are showing are of the genuine flask the 30 watt, IMO, could be wrong but I don't think so, especially when I look at their picture and then look at my flask, that helps in forming an opinion, so anyhow pal, pre-orders are out there, I hate those pre-orders, these vendors use other peoples money to be able to buy to minimum lot requirement, that really bugs me, personally.
Good luck my friend and by the way this is my Flask, not a clone..Flask4.JPG
