Check the trash file to see if they are there and click onto restore to inbox if they are in the trash file.
It is the 1st icon towards the top when you click onto that mail that ended up in the trash folder. It has the little arrow pointed down, hopefully you didn't empty your trash file, then those messages are gone for good.

That's how I somehow lost them, I was tryin to delete trash and it was makin me do it one at a time so I tried hitting the trash with a X behind it and bang mail was gone too, for the second time.
I hate this new mail.
How do you delete your trash without havin to do it one at a time?

I check mark it one at a time to make sure it is trash, I don't think you can delete all trash at once? I do not know if you can delete all trash at once since I have never tried that with the X. Yes you check mark all the trash messages you want deleted then hit the delete button. Once you delete the trash it is permanent .
