I just received an email last night from VaporTek on the Orchid RTA preorder from Tobeco:

http://www.vaportekusa.com/orchid-kayfun-style-rba-clone-by-tobeco/

They are selling it for only $17.49 plus like $2 shipping, so it ends up being less than $20 shipped. I just ordered mine about an hour ago, I thought I should share with y'all! By the way, they're expected to ship out on 7/31. We know that the ESD are tentative, but still, I think it's a great buy and worth waiting a few weeks.

EBay vendor voxvapes

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=231291639094&alt=web

...just sent me shipping notice. $19.95 shipped for the NO LOGO. Mississippi to FL, in turn, Monday or Tuesday for me. They have updated their listing with shipping updates...complete opposite of the other vendors. This is my first order from them. +1

http://vapingunderground.com/thread...-replica-19-95-free-shipping.6710/#post-63329

There are less than 50 that still need a home.

No word from Vapetasia...I actually ordered one from them on Ebay first.

Pretty excited about it as well. $6 gamble. The other custom top fill options are the price of 2-3+ Tobeco Orchids!!! Not options at all for me.

Worth a mention: EHpro Big Buddha, according to a reviewer, surprisingly, vapes as good as the (authentic) Orchid.

Another, Big Buddha owner, that I highly respect (skills and opinion,) states that it's better than the Fogger. (He owns a few)

From my understanding, the Orchid takes a Kayfun PMMA tank, so it should work fine, as long as the chimney seals with the topcap the way it's supposed too. If it doesn't, I'm not gonna swet it, and use it for my nano kit for one of my KFL's. I don't use the nano kit cause I always top fill and it's a mess with it. My nano chimney always wants to unscrew when I take the topcap off.

I am still to get into anything 26650, and don't think I will. I'm a fan of 22mm and 18350 & 18500 batteries.

I agree on the 26650. I haven't jumped on that bandwagon. It would take a couple of devices that don't exist (yet) to make me jump aboard. But, are there rumors of a little Buddha? LoL. I got in on a Sigelei 100W coop ($77) and I think that 26650 atty's may fit that beast. In turn, I'm stocked about these tanks 'beyond the Fogger'

Me too, I have a fogger v4 that I bought when they first came out, and I'm very disapointed. I've built it only 3 times from .5 to .9ohms and I still go back to my kayfuns built at 1.2 - 1.4 as my ADV.

I received mine today from voxvapes. It will be in return mail tomorrow. Hopefully this is a one off. The set screw for one of the negative posts is really very loose and I highly doubt it could be tightened on a coil. The other doesn't bite at all and can be removed and reinserted without turning. Doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the set screw threads but rather in the post threads. The positives thread into a block and they appear OK. The negatives thread into a hollow post. Oddly, unlike a kayfun, the chimney and chimney cap are all one piece. Capacity is claimed to be 4ml and while I never got to the point I could test it it looks doubtful. The "large build deck" in fact looks very small. Threading other than the negative posts appeared to be quite good.

Mine showed up Monday. The post screws are very tiny Allen screws, and will strip the instant you tighten it down. That's not good. I had to drill out the two air holes in the sides as they were not fully drilled deep enough to connect with the air holes on the deck. I get serious dry hits on this thing. I haven't fiddled with the wick depth into the channels to see if I can get it to perform better. I'm not sure that I need to have the wicks going into the channels.

I never got to the tightening stage. I saw there was a major problem as soon as I went to back them off prior to wrapping coils and I could simply pull the set screw out. The only build I've seen the wicks were just barely started into the channel.

Any of y'all that have both the Orchid and the Fogger V4 care to give a comparison?

I may just wait out for the 22mm variant of the Big Buddha...that thing is awesome, love mine!

LOL. Get as many opinions as you can!! You know from my other post I have to do some builds and figure it out. I am in for a Big Buddha myself, but have some time to wait as it's going to have to live on the Sigelei 100W as I don't have, a 26650 (or want one yet,) anything proper for it to sit on.

I'll be more opinionated tonight as far as the Fogger vs Orchid goes. Until then...how to extend a Kayfun Chimney tube? ...to utilize full size tanks on the Orchid. That's what needs answering so we can get more juice capacity!

I have not tried a Fogger, so I can not compare the two, sorry. This orchid reminds me of a KF with lower juice capacity, wide open airflow without the ability to change, and dual coil capable. The need to fill from open top cap hasn't been anymore of a hassle than the need to use a syringe for the KF. The juice capacity is lower because you cannot utilize the top area without making a mess putting the top cap on. The airflow is good for me, since I've gotten use to a very airy draw.

HAHA! It's in my blood to do massive amounts of research before buying things. I hate playing the "try to return it or sell it off to some other poor schmuck" game with stuff you end up regretting...:p

I'm a 26650 guy myself...I have a Seven 30, 26650 4nine clone , and a Copper Mutant clone. To be honest, the 4nine barely gets used these days...the Mutant is just better to me. I like it so much, I think I'm gonna pick up the SS/Brass Mutant when it comes back in stock at 101vape. The Big Buddha is quite good though

Anyway, if you have 26650 mod questions...you know who to go to! :D Looking forward to your thoughts!

I'm a for the Big Buddha, but I'll hold off for a deal, it's in my blood...not genetic or anything, I'll get what I want...just at the best possible price. Carried that trait over from the tech world.

I'm really holding out for the SXK Stingray X, but I did get China email showing off the 26650 Onyx mod.

http://imgur.com/bgR05nO

I'm tempted, but didn't contact them on pricing. If it were the SXK Stingray X in 26650 that I got the email on, I'd be sweating a tracking number.

I submitted a FastTech $27.26 review. The existing reviews said it all as far as the impressive voltage drop...blah blah blah. I just stated that you should remove the rice pin, put the other piece of the button back and aggressively twist back and forth for a bit. Voila perfect button. No crunch...just smooth. I cleaned and lubed first...then removed lube after done

Getting something at it's absolute lowest price is what I like too...but I've also learned that it isn't ALWAYS the best way to go...there are other factors like customer service and speed.

While I like the idea of a 26650 Stingray X, the versions I've seen are a weird dimension....31.5mm diameter I think. I tend to prefer 30mm attys/mods so that'd probably be a deal breaker for me. The only other popular size is 28.5mm, but that's for stuff like the Hades, which I'm not a fan of. 30mm or bust!

Good to know of the slowtech version

Good point on the 26650 size issue. I didn't even consider that. You helped me already!!
May not get the Ray X 26650 with that in mind.

Anyway, I got the other Orchid today and decided to put the KFL+ v2 full size tank on it and it and was looking at the space that it needs to make the chimney meet with the o-ring, then I put the the Kayfun Top Cap on and it fit. Now, just have to hope that the quartz kit with the easy fill cap fit the Orchid chimney.

Nano kit fit:

Yeah...I'm pretty particular about my stuff sitting as flush as possible. It's a disease! :p

Wow that is purdy! Might have to look into that.

i got a tobeco orchid clone. first thing i noticed is one of the neg posts were cross threaded in. i contacted the company i bought it from and they are sending me another deck. i paid a little more but i will pay for good customer service, especially when it involves tobeco. second thing was all the original screws that were installed, the allen head were stripped out. i was able to get the spare screws in it as i was really curious on how it performs.

coming from solely dripping sub ohm my first coil was a .3 ohms. got it wicked up and was impressed with the vapor production. no dry hits (20pg/80vg), but it tasted horrible. kind of had that machine oil taste. so i boiled it a couple times. put a new wick in it and still has that nasty taste. ill give a more realistic coil build and a little thinner juice and a try again. when my new one comes in. it didnt leak on me at all, only had to clear the air holes after putting on the top cap. coming from modified drippers this has a pretty good air flow. i would say its close to a tobh with 2 holes open.

now for looks its not bad. i put it on my 18650 4nine and carvela and it was flush on the sides. its a little small for the panzer but doesnt look bad at all. it does have some weight to it so if your gonna put it on a light mod it may be a little top heavy.

hope this helps!

I got mine from Matt at Vox Vapes on eBay. Under $20 and fast shipped. I'll buy all can from them in future. Awesome guy to deal with. In my initial frustration with top fill mess and leaking, he offered refund and told me v2 is on way. I kept the unit and since have figured out leak problem. Turns out chimney ring isnt fixed and if cap gets tilted the least little bit when pushing it down, it wont seal. Main thing is the guy was just awesome to deal with. Fast responses and quick to solution.

I have the v2 on order with Vox.
I also have had the v1 for a few weeks now running the FT top fill cap. Works great and no leaking if you cover the air holes along with the top hole while filling... can't do that without the top fill cap.

FastTech has 2 v2 offerings.

I'm going to hold off on them. I want 26650 atomizers now with the wattage boxes coming in.
