I'm relatively new to the review scene, and am still building my learning curve, so I'll just leave you with the basics & let you make up your own mind:

I received my Aurora Play from Vaporesso (in a contest win), and immediately went to work to see if I could break it (I have a habit of breaking whatever I touch).

First off, most of the stock pictures on the interwebs make this thing seem quite a bit bigger than it really is: when in reality, it isn't that much bigger than a zippo (I was expecting something along the lines of those old, felt covered, solid fuel hand warmers with respect to size).

The kit that I received contained a mod with a pre-installed 1.3 ohm MTl coil, and additional 1.3 pod, wire braided usb cord and a 10 ml filling bottle (the subohm, dl pod has been temporarily suspended by Vaporesso, so the "pre-release" kit contained only the (2) 1.3 ohm pods). As this was a "pre release" unit, it also did not include the warranty card or the users manual, but the use of the system is not that difficult to figure out for those that have had a mod or 2 to experiment with.

Although the kit came with a filling bottle, I found that the smaller tips of the gorilla style bottles would work fine for filling the pod: I think the only problems would be with the glass dropper bottles not being able to fit the fill opening.

The size seems to be about right, not too large & not too small

the flip-open lid seems to be identical to the type in the Zippo Lighters, with a "crisp" open & close. the pod is held in place by magnets & is neither difficult nor overly easy to remove.

What I like about this version, over the Aurora pod system is that the drip tip/mouthpiece on the Play is straight & fits inside the lid/cover without having to worry about either twisting it around or bending it over...it is what it is & there's no twisting or bending involved.

The pods are easy to fill. Although I initially thought that with a thin fill membrane, it might be prone to leaking, I found that I couldn't force a leak, even by shaking it & trying to make it leak.

personally, I find the metal braiding on the USB cable a bit too much...I have a feeling that with this much reinforcement, the USB plug on the mod would fail before the cord...and with the gamut of USB cords around, they seem they would be easier/cheaper to replace than the USB port on the mod...but I've been wrong before ;)

the 10ml filling bottle is a nice touch...more convenient than carrying around a 30 or 60ml bottle, and with only a 2ml capacity for the pod, 10 ml should, without a doubt last one a full day, assuming the battery lasts that long or one has the ability to charge the mod on the go.

My initial thoughts about the flavor produced by the Aurora play are good (35mg Mist Aqua green apple/peach/kiwi). the power is not so great as to cause one flavor to overpower the rest, yet allows a nice, even mix of the flavor combinations. I've yet to use a full pod & I've been hitting it pretty hard for the past 3 or 4 hours.

really, the only cons that I can foresee is the fact that if the unit is shaken, there is a rattle: some of which is the pod in the mod & I suspect that the remaining rattle is the "spring unit" for the opening/closing of the lid. the "over-building" of the USB cable COULD be a positive, but personally, I find it simply an added expense that needn't be taken..but that's personal.

Run out & get one..you won't be sorry!
