Got the new Wonder Flavors on the way.....of course I did. I’m especially keen on several of them(Philly Butter Cake, Crumble Topping, Raspberry Jelly Bean, Bourbon Cream), but they all look like winners. Egg Yolk is intriguing.

Also picked up INW Spicy Biscuit to continue my white whale.....Cookie butter.

I have that Tart flavor from Chef's, too. I can't remember where I got it, but it was in the states quite some time ago. I liked it single, myself. I couldn't bring myself to mix it at 15%, or whatever was recommended, at that time, so I took it to 5%. It was quite flavorful at that.

I've never had Dinner Lady, so have no basis of comparison for that.
Your recomindation..
Thank You It is a stronger flavor and one can always add more.

any idea on recomended steep time.?

Single flavor testing is the way to go. Major pain in the ass, but if you're gonna create your own recipes you need to find where it works for you. You can get hints as to where to start on e-liquid-recipes.com looking there for the flavor in question. They give an average and median as well as min/max used.

So I’m assuming you have an ELR stash? If you do, click on the flavor. It will take you to a page that tells you all kinds of things.....median use, average use(both in recipes and single flavors), other peoples notes and recipes using that flavor. Super useful!

Very likely this has been "done to death". That's fine I was doing for myself and learning.

Mixed up a "R&C" flavor. All my flavors are TFA unless noted otherwise.

Batch size: 10ml bottle

Jamaican rum 16 drops [ml estimate] 0.60 ml
Cola syrup 14 drops "" 0.40 ml

The rest is my nicotine base juice which is max VG. I'd say roughly 90% with 10% flavors w/ PG. Choose your own nicotine strength as suits you.

For those not aware, R&C means Rum and Coke. I got a second opinion that says I got it, or close enough to not try refining any further out of messing it up being likely.

I know R&C isn't really a difficult mix. Though pairing the two together and blending them correctly can offer a good foundation in the basics of mixing up juices. It was much the same mixing the drinks, it needs blended out correctly, or it can be way off. Glad I seem to "have it". That lets me know that I'm on the "right" path to mixing juices. So yes, this a good flavor beginners can benefit learning to do, it helps clarify where they are and where they're going. :)

Cappio de Menthe

Target: 60 ml
Base: 100% VG w/ 18 mg nicotine
All flavors TFA unless otherwise noted

1.5 ml Creme de Menthe
.6 ml Vanillan (10%)
.6 ml Sweet Cream
.9 ml Cappuccino

Am told it smelled nice, not too "heavy".

I had this as a bit of desert coffee once but cannot recall where/when. It was likely in the home of a gent who at the time was level thirty Free Mason. Not that any of that really matters aside from me following Kipling's If poem. :)

This sounds nice, bro. I might have trouble with the percentages, though. I either use a syringe or a bottle with percentages up the side.

I listed for a syringe mixing as well. You could do six tenths of a milliliter for the Jamaican Rum and four tenths of a milliliter for Cola Syrup.

I didn't really list percentages but it could be done easily enough the math is ten based for it being a ten milliliter batch size. For example I reckon for a one hundred milliliter batch you could use six milliliters of the rum, four of the cola.

I use drops for doing a 10 milliliter batch size but can estimate that to milliliters, ergo I listed it as I did. The percentage I reckon would be 60% rum and 40% cola out of a 10% solution added to 90% base juice to make up the 100% of the juice.

Thanks! The measuring label on my short fill has lines between the numbers, so I can figure it out. I’ll have to anyway, if I want to post my own recipe.

So....the new Wonder Flavors.....

They knocked it out of the park AGAIN!

I’ve mixed a few up and, so far, Philly Butter Cake, Portuguese Egg Tart, Crumble Topping and Sugar Cookie definitely seem like they’ll be winners. Egg Yolk is....interesting.....doesn’t smell like egg yolk or taste like egg yolk off the shake, but maybe with a steep? Both the Breads(Butter Toast and Sweet) smell like toast. The Sweet Bread I could see making a killer French Toast from scratch. Haven’t done any others, but I’ll keep y’all posted. Worth the combo pack, IMO. But, hey, really.....have I ever needed an excuse to buy flavors? 1400, here I come! :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

Far from a legend, but I appreciate the kind words. I just like to have a nice variety around. I certainly don't mind trying other peoples' recipes as well as trying to come up with some good originals. I will forge on as long as it continues to be fun.

I know most don't like black licorice, but sharing as I really happy with it, a simple creamy smooth black licorice, has the good tang black licorice should have, this is the best licorice vape I've had, be amazing if gets better with steeping.

View attachment 164783

I don't actually eat licorice, but I love the flavor of it. Love black jelly beans. The licorice, well, it's a consistency thing.

Any idea what would be a good sub for the Devon Cream? I have a ton of creams, but not that one.

This is only my 2nd recipe, so not a good one to answer that, not sure if it is the devon cream that makes it so good for me, or if any cream would work well for it too, I wasn't sure which one to use myself, just that one took my fancy, no science to my mixing :teehee:

I read some flavor notes on ELR, think I might try FA Vienna Cream.

Nice to have a recipe turn out well on your second try! Good for you! :)

Can you still buy Nu-Grape soda? Are they still being made? God I used to love me a Nu-Grape when it was hot outside. Could drink that whole thing down in about five seconds flat!
Haven't seen it in a while but haven't looked for it. I'll check next time I go to the store. Can still find Nehi in the glass bottles in some places.

That FW licorice is fantastic isnt it!
My simple one is FW Licorice 5% and FA Marshmallow 5% 3 drops of ss per 30ml.
Vaping it in a Zues mesh right now.
Never had cream with it though. Trying to imagine it with cream but just wont compute. Will have to try it one day.

A follow-up for @AndriaD , I mixed up your shisha strawberry on the 9th and have been vaping it since yesterday. Have it in one of my rdas, it's damned delicious. I don't find it over the top at all, just a good, creamy authentic tasting strawberry and cream. This version goes into my book of winner, tried and true recipes. Thanks!

It's a weird one; I definitely started it completely "over the top" at 31.5%, but I've now gotten it to 19.9% flavoring -- just made another slight reduction in the past week. And that was my very first from-scratch recipe, which I had to come up with because I couldn't taste any other strawberry flavors (still can't), and at the 2%-4% that was suggested, I couldn't taste it, couldn't even taste it at 8%... so I said fuck this bullshit, doubled it again to 16%, and scaled up the creams to balance it, plus I used a lot (2%!) of sweetener then too. And I have still not created another from-scratch recipe that's anything like as good! Though my "Smocha" was pretty good, if you like a sweet pipe tobacco sort of vape. I got over any tobacco flavors PDQ. I've vaped that strawberry & cream almost exclusively since Dec 2014 when I created it, with just a couple of very short "vacations" with other vape flavors.

Once I could no longer get customized high-PG from commercial vendors (2016), I haven't bought any commercial ejuice, because it's impossible to find 80%-85% PG anymore. I prefer 87% PG, because I like to keep breathing. :D

Mixed up some rum and coke, today. I use TFA flavors of Jamaican rum and cola syrup.

Rum & Coke (R&C)
Batch size: 60 ml

Jamaican rum 3.60 ml
cola syrup 2.40 ml

total flavorings is 6 ml

The remaining 54 ml is max VG nicotine base solution from Heartland Vapes. My nicotine strebgth is 18 mg per ml. Use your own strength, use the brand of flavors or nicotine what suits you. This keeps my proportions for a 10 ml batch, which are .60 and .40 for each flavor respectively. This blend is fairly spot on to shake and vape, figure if it steeps a week it'll be so mellow an R&C you'll drink, erm vape it all day. I do already. :)

That TFA Jamaican Rum is awesome. I mix it with an RY4D TFA.
The RY4D needs a minimum 4 week steep to come good, 6 best and I do it with that Rum.
You can have two flavour profiles.
Mix the RY and Rum together and let them steep for 4 to 6 and you get a mellow dark rum flavour coming through.
But mix the RY4D on its own to steep for 3 or 5 weeks adding the Rum just 1 week before using it and you get a Malibu Rum flavour profile from the rum, that coconut hint in the background.
The longer the rum steeps the more that Malibu Rum fades and becomes a light dark rum flavour.
Similar change happens with my favourite Citrus from FA. Citrus Mix, mix it and vape within the first week to two weeks and it has a nice Grapefruit note to it. Let it steep for 3 and longer and it fades to just an equally nice balanced citrus with hardly any perceivable grapefruit.
