Meet....

In Boone County, Kentucky, investigators followed a digital trail that led them to a home in Florence, where online activity linked to a man suspected of sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), previously referred to as child pornography.
After building a careful case, detectives arrived at the suspect’s residence and began a thorough search, working carefully through the home to locate and document electronic devices that could hold critical evidence of the child exploitation. Alongside the investigative team was a critical partner – Our Rescue-Sponsored Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9 Mo, trained to locate digital devices that suspects may hide from police.
As the search progressed, detectives moved through boxes and personal belongings, clearing items one by one. At one point, a box had already been searched and set aside. But K9 Mo continued to alert on it.
Rather than dismiss the alert, Mo’s handler, Lieutenant Christian, went back and searched the box again, this time taking a closer look. Inside, they discovered small Bluetooth-enabled devices that had been overlooked during the initial search. Every day, devices are becoming smaller, easier to hide, and more difficult to find without the right support, such as ESD K9s like K9 Mo.
