in the news today, australia has introduced a new tax , this is on vape juive. the stronger the nicotine level the higher the tax! they have started a nationwde advertising campaign feturing australian public identities and sport stars to get peoples of vapes. they are strengthing the law on didsplaying juice and coming down hard on packaging.
i hope we all agree." They are a bunch of overpaid worthless creatures who do not have a bloody clue!"

As I understand, they are trying to outright ban vaping there. I guess they still need more support to pull that off, and force vapers to either quit, or go back to smoking.... just like New Zealand.

yeah, imports were banned march 1st. Everything from liquid to hardware

banning local sales outright is before parliament, aiming for july 1st

after that it is pharmacy only with prescription. But pharmacies aren't allowed to advertise it. So it is buying blind for closed system crap with no details

Has the situation changed? Is it completely impossible to buy a vape in Australia?

the pharmacy thing's gonna be a nightmare. doubt most GPs'll script vape juice tho, not when a lot still reckon its worse than smoking

I think the pharmaceutical industry wants to get its greedy fingers on vape supplies. If they do, if vaping becomes medicalized, suddenly vaping will be wonderful! Helping people stop smoking! With TV ads, billboards, talk show discussions, all the things. And of course, it will be a lot more expensive to vape, with fewer choices of supplies, if you have to go to the doctor to get your vapes.
