LOL holy cross contamination.
Lab, medical and common cleanliness fail.
For a clean protocol it failed 5-6 times, once is all that counts.

You practice and demo, how you actually work. It corrects problems and ingrains consistent. repeatable results.

It's important for me to note that this is a very laid-back video for people to use for reference at home, not in a laboratory. We are currently in production with a video that demonstrates our safe and clean lab practices.

If anyone is ever in NW Washington, and is interested in touring our facility - please send me a message, & we can arrange it! :)

I'd like to reiterate that we often have visitors tour our production facility, and this invitation is open for anyone interested! We engage in best lab practices, and we have adopted extensive measures to prevent cross-contamination.

We want as many visitors so that we can impress you! :)

The same concepts of lab clean at home can and still should be followed.
In the 30s when people were making bathtub gin they could have saved a bunch of lives following basic clean step protocol.

Agreed Artemis, our team is re-shooting the video to address the concerns reflected in this thread. We will definitely exhibit a higher level of scrutiny in regards to producing a more concise video that adheres to current PPE and safety standards. Thank you for your input. We have learned from this experience and are adjusting accordingly.

IMO....

This was meant for someone to home doing this. Viewers were advised about what safety equipment they should use.

I would NOT let the critics bother you too much. Your video was nice, and it was helpful. If I produced a video like that, and someone bitched about me not wearing gloves (because I do NOT wear nitrile gloves when mixing), I would tell them where they could stick it. ;)

You will never please EVERYONE. Just do what you guys think is right. You folks are making strides and leaps in the right direction. :)

Anyone who complained: Feel free to post your video of 'the right way' for home mixing in this thread.

A lab coat, hairnet, long sleeve shirt, safety goggles!

All stuff I skip when I DIY for PERSONAL use.

That is what the video is for.

If the video was done in a clean room with all the bells and whistles what would that teach a DIY'er?

Nothing at all because we own none of that fancy stuff.

But think about it. All "two" haters on this thread will be the "ones to shut you down". Look what they did to the smokers. Now they can't even smoke in their own homes because the puto neighbor claims "I can smell it, I can't breve" Welcome to the good ol' USA. Minorities have their way. I live in sunny So Cal, earthquake country. Beaches for miles. But the yoga woosies have infiltrated. So no more smoking in public places. Vaping is taking over. Took them all of three weeks to get on that band wagon and and ban "it" everywhere where you weren't alowed to smoke....#^ck 'em all. THANK YOU VU MEMBERS FOR LISTING TO ME RANT. if anybody feels like ranting after me... PLEASE DO SO....IT FEELS GOOD

I dont use gloves for my diy but im using 36mg nic right now and use a syringe to draw it and add it...id be more inclined to use gloves for a stronger nic however...Not saying its ok to just dip your hands in it at a lower mg but i dont worry at such low levels of nic...over a long period of time it can maybe be an issue but i have yet to get a single drop of it on my skin and if i did im not gonna panic..just wipe it off with a wet paper towel and move on.

You guys are a bunch of babies. You need to realize that people watching this video probably aren't wearing half the ppe if any, that thru should. And there mixing areas would get them sued for unsanitary standards.

Actually the deaths from alcohol during prohibition were because the feds spiked the alcohol with wood alcohol in an attempt to enforce prohibition with fear.

They (the feds) were experimenting with other poisons first but the speakeasys started doing a final on-site distillation to alleviate this.

Unfortunately methyl and ethyl alcohol are very difficult to separate and certainly not with a final distillation at the speakeasy.

This is all so mainstream and fully documented it's even on this history channel, I can't believe anyone would be uninformed enough to believe people die from "poorly made" ethyl alcohol. Yes, they can get sick but you get sick way before you die and it doesn't make you go blind or any of the stuff wood alcohol will do.

I remember thinking about going blind/getting ill when I was in Kentucky visiting relatives.

It was at the most extremely stressful time in my life to date (going through a divorce) and I was on about a 4-6 liter a week 100 proof whiskey diet.

Anyway, and inevitability, I ran out of whiskey and one of my cousins and my uncle mentioned something about "gittin' that boooy some shine".

I was the taken to some family acquaintance who lived in some sort of Appalachian mobile home commune. All the guys were wearing no shirt and overalls, and the "contact" was sawing fiberglass panels to skirt the trailers while the other Cletuses were nailing them on.

I was told not to say a damn word or I wouldn't get shit. I'm sure they smelled this fancy pants Yankee from a mile away anyway.

Bubba covered in fiberglass dust goes and grabs two pint jars and my cousin hands over a 10. There was some mention of it being 140 proof......

Then about an hour later, after we'd gotten back home, I had half a dozen wide-eyed hillbilly family members staring as I opened the repurposed pickle jar and took a swig of the unaged whiskey mixed with rubbing alcohol concoction. 3 hours later I had one less pint of moonshine and one less pack of cigarettes.

They were cackling the whole time about it making me go blind like it was funny. I was scared shitless.

I am not laying the blame entirely one way or another on the feds or the hillbillies, it was a fucked up time for us.

Limited supply of 14 flavors has just been released.
