i have the LG HG2 .. they are 3000MAH at 20A i think.

I'm new to having a real mod (cuboid) coming from a pen. is it bad to use it until its drained? they are reading at 3.25V

Thats perfectly fine. Most if not all quality high drain batteries have a discharge end voltage down to 2.5 volt. The mod protection keeps you well away from that.

You're good using the mod till it stops firing if you wish. As said, that he mod won't let you discharge them too low With lithium ion cells you can also charge them when ever you like, there's no penalty for charging them sooner if you wish.

Note that from my experience with the Cuboid, using its built in charging won't completely charge the cells. Mine stops charging cells at 4V rather than to their full capacity and 4.2V. A separate good quality charger, if you don't already have one, should net you a little more run time.

If I remember right, the i2 charges at 500mA. If the HG2 s were completely discharged that would be roughly 6 hours, give or take a bit extra for any losses, as the process isn't completely efficient. If they're not completely spent, it'll take less time.

My Luc V4 is a godsend when charging these. It'll charge at 2000mA (2A), so a hour and a half, if I really need them quickly. I prefer to charge at 1A though if I'm not in a hurry. Nothing wrong with a lower charging current though, it takes longer but will have a (very minor in the scheme of things) positive effect on wear and tear.
