20700s in 21700 mods

So I've seen a few vids for mods that fit 18650(in adapter)/20700/21700. In every case the 20700s rattle a bit or more. Vaping Bogan suggested putting an o-ring on your 20700s to eliminate the rattle. 1mm of space seems like it's too little for them to make 20700 adapters because the sleeves would need to be super thin(~0.5mm) to fit. So any better suggestions or am I best off avoiding 21700 mods if my plan is to use my current crop of 20700s?

What I've found is that exactly 3 wraps of standard duty electrical tape is .52 to .53mm. Wrap the tape single width around the center of the battery. It's fiddly work because it has to be smooth with no bubbles and no overlap at the finish. Not an absolutely perfect fix, but better than o-rings I think. Otherwise, avoid the 21700 mods, or get new batteries.

Find some heat shrink tubing - it comes in different thicknesses.
