This is my first build on the Velocity RDA or any RDA for that matter, And when i first ohm'ed it out it was at 0.38 I have taken about 10 hits off of it and its reading 0.61? Any idea why its doing that?

When you change the wattage does the resistance change?

No, wattage doesn't change resistance. Temperature does, but only very slightly with kanthal. At most it will jump +/- .05 after chain vaping.

Seems one of the coils has come loose. One of them is barely making a connection, hence why the resistance has nearly doubled.

Take the cotton out, clean the coils and watch how they glow. With the juice on them, there is no telling what's going on, so you will need to burn/rinse that off and then evaporate the water. Once you do, one of those coils is gonna glow much more faintly than the other. Gently and gradually tighten the screws on the fainter one until they both glow evenly. The resistance should be back down into the .3-.4 range again.

A lot of times, when you first heat fresh coils, the pressure of the screw combined with the heat flattens the wire inside the post, which loosens the connection. Sometimes, with wire as thick as 24, it is prudent to re-tighten the screws after you pulse-out the hot spots. They sort of settle in once heated. If you listen carefully, you can actually hear the metal shifting as the coils cool down.
