Sorry about this, but I thought I may as well give some of you guys newish to vaping some info that may help you out.

I purchased a joyetech evic vt from my local vape shop who I have been dealing with for nearly a year now without issue.. Until today!

I purchased it in July and a week or so after their warranty ran out the unit died. I took it into them and they have it for a few days, from what I know, they opened it up and pulled the positive lead to make sure it hadn't just crashed. When I got it back I was told that it was dead, and that I had to get in touch with joyetech regarding the warranty.

I did so, via China as they are a Chinese company. And I was told to plug the device in to charge it having told them that it's been confirmed and being faulty.

I ended up finding out that there is a uk base for joyetech so contacted them who told me that the shop I purchased from isn't an official stockist of joyetech products therefore shouldn't be selling them!
Now as a consumer I am confused, as the shop is saying that the standard warranty from any shop is no longer valid and that joyetech will replace, after posting to China at a cost of £70+!
Joyetech have told me that since it wasn't purchased from a known dealer that it isn't included under their warranty.

Just a warning so that others don't get caught in this trap.

But whatever happens I'll try to keep this updated so you know what's going on and how they handle it.

Sadly this kind of thing pops up from time to time.

Hope that it somehow gets fixed to your satisfaction!

Sorry to hear of your bad luck with your device, sadly that sort of thing happens with unauthorized vendors from time to time.

I could understand if they had said, but there's no reason not to suspect they are not authorised dealers though :/

Joyetech/eleaf screwed over thousands of people and vendors with the exploding/auto-firing iStick 50 fiasco. They played the run around game. A guy on reddit posted a screen shot of an email convo with eleaf. Eleaf said to contact Joyetech, next screen shot was Joyetech telling him to contact eleaf, even though both share the same office in Irvine california, and eleaf's website said to contact Joyetech's technical support for warranty issues.
Several vendors flat out quit carrying joyetech/eleaf junk. Don't get your hopes up. You stand zero chance of getting any satisfaction from them.

I hear you and can feel for you , but I for one do not think a company on the other side of the world , really cares about me . Just my opinion , but how is the consumer to know
they are not a legit dealer for them ! Was there a sign on the wall , the store got them from somebody ! Really , it's like buyer beware , more often .

I have an Evic. Never had any trouble. As a gear head, I know there is a 50/50 chance anything electronic will go boom without notice. I use that when buying my Mods. I am damn fortunate, knowing I can rebuild most anything I can get parts for. Fast Tech, & other places are a wealth for parts. I have seen people buy Mods that cost over $350.00. If it's more than 75.00 I don't get it. I see it like a car wreck, it may not be my fault but my stuff is still wrecked. I never take the attitude that anything I buy will last.
