The Serpent, I love that RTA a lot more than I hate it...it's actually been a really great tank for me.
As far as building the coils, the only part I found difficult was that I had to twist the wire in the opposite direction than what I am used to.
Just like any RTA, most of the issues come down to wicking. I started by trying to make sure the entire deck had cotton hovering over it. No need for that, just have it hovering over where the channels are. A SMALL amount of THINNED out cotton going into the channel helps as well, making sure not to go farther than the little "step" thingy in there.
You said the pissing child problem has been resolved, awesome! I only ever had that issue while filling, and I fixed that by turning off the juice flow, taking off cap and filling, putting cap back on,
turning that pissy baby upside down, and then opining the juice flow before turning it upright.
Other random observations of the Serpent:
- Goes from a pissy baby, to a lying fucking teenager...look through the glass and see the juice level? You don't have as much as it looks. Once it starts to go below the bell performance will start to lack, and it will be bone dry very soon. Refill it!
- Becomes a self destructive teenager if you don't treat it nicely...If you screw it to your mod too tight, when you go to take it off it may decide to unscrew from the deck and poor juice everywhere. That thin little grip ring on the bottom is impossible for ME to get a hold of. I've had to pull out the Gerber multi tool a number of times. Get it JUST snug so you can take it off easily.
- The 510 connection is very stable, I used the atomizer solely in SS316L TC on my DNA200. If you do want to adjust the pin, it's reversed threaded.
That's all I can think of for now. It's a great RTA, I used it for months and will again once I'm done torture testing my new Theorem tanks.
