in all honestly the kits kinda suck lol. you always end up with some stuff you really dont want or need. personally I feel you would be better off setting a budget and letting everyone help direct you in finding flavors you will actually use and might like. you may need to place at least 2 separate especially for flavors but I think you will be happier in the long run. either spend a couple more bucks shipping 2 orders or shipping in a week when you find out the flavors you got were not really what you needed but they came in the kit :)

even though Im totally bias one good recommended spot would be the Bull City community packs and here is why, for one those recipes are tried and true and seem to be the favorites from all the forums and much better than one shots because you can not only use those flavors for said recipe but also use the flavors for other things as well. you might end up with less flavors than originally planned but Id rather have 5 good flavors than 13 out of 15 bad flavors.

I want to start making my own ejuice.

Is this a good deal, or does anyone have other recommendations for kits?

Some folks liked that kit...some not so much.

Will the flavors contained in that kit make the kind of juice you like? Are there any you might now think you will never use?

wllmc's suggestion is best.

I totally agree! And I'm not biased :)

Best to just make a list of the basic things you need first.

VG
PG (if used)

NIC Base in (VG or PG)?
(100mg per ml is the best deal for long term)
(I just divide it up, and reduce it down to 50mg per ml by cutting it with VG or PG

1ml leur lock syringes, and a few bigger ones, (a cheapo scale is nice but really not needed when first starting out if you're on a budget).
(a few blunt tip needles (small for flavors, large for PG/VG)

15ml bottles (for juice)
30ml bottles (I use these for measuring the NIC I'm using for making juice, the rest goes into the freezer until needed again.
(And you can make 30ml batches of juice too).
Various sized glass bottles for NIC storage in freezer
120ml bottles for VG/PG, or large batches of juice (later on).

Choosing flavors is probably the hardest part cause there are so many available these days.

Have to agree with @wllmc on starting with those Bull City Community Packs.
Probably save you from some frustration as these flavors are used in many other recipes besides.

Yeah i agree with the rest having bought myself a kit when i first started out. First thing i did after the week steep of the flavors it came with was to bin them coz they sucked. Very little flavor very harsh. Very expensive waste of time. Dark star is where i get my wet chems and flavours and amazon for what o call sundries eg. Pipettes syringes beakers etc. Just have a browse and compare everything. Good luck dude
