A great combination of stealth, power, and functionality, maybe the best?

This thread isn't for you if you like big chunky box mods, and not that there's anything wrong with that.

One of my most important priorities is having a small, discreet device. Something I can throw in my pocket, or stow easily in the compartments of my car. And I think my setup has achieved that goal.

With the eGo ONE tank on my iStick 40w TC, the total package is only 5 1/16" tall, 7/8" wide, and 1 3/8" deep. And I don't sacrifice anything. I have great adjustable airflow, temp control, a more than decent amount of power, and pass through charging. Convenient as hell... it's like having a slightly oversized zippo in my pocket .

Can anyone think of even "stealthier" setups that maintain a similar level of power and function? I'd love to hear your ideas.

I second that emotion....To steal a little MoTown...I'm reading this and enjoying a wonderful,flavorful,not too hot...Not too cold kinda sounds like a story I heard a long time ago....I have the 40 t/c also,but with a kanger subtank firing their Ni 200 occ coil...It growls at first,then temp control takes over at 470 degrees and its billows...But..And I mean but....The flavor of My Detroit Rock Candy brand,LEX,is the best Lemon flavor I've had to date in the regular .5 kanthal coils,but It tastes 10x better on the 40 t/c and Ni.coil in the same tank...I was amazed!....Z

Good call, the kanger subtank is a great choice.

And come to think of it, the SUBOX mini or nano kits would probably be great alternatives to my setup. Perhaps not quite as small, but real close .

Me, I like my Sigelei 30 Watt Mini topped with a Kanger Subtank Mini with the RBA head and a 0.40 ohm coil.

I have five Minis and three Nanos,and I think the Nano is the perfect size for My Istick Mini 10 watter,but I like the draw on the S/T Mini better!The Nano with a .5 occ coil has a good draw,but to run on the Lil'Stick it has to be 1.0 Ohms or more and the draw on the higher resistance occ coil is too tight....Z

While it's not quite as small as the istick my vote for best stealth /functioning mod goes to the ipv d2. Very small, punches out 75w and has tc.

I see your 40w TC and raise you a 75w TC. Horizon arctic tank with the factory nickel coil heads. Clouds and it fits in a shirt pocket.

Oooh, excellent contenders indeed. Most likely just a little bit larger than mine, but getting 75w and TC out of something that small is a lot of bang per inch.

But still, what I'm trying to say here is, "MINE IS THE SMALLEST! YES!"

No one ever said that, but my OP takes functionality into account... and TC certainly is a significant feature. There's plenty of super tiny mods out there, but they're not even in the conversation because they don't have much power or features.

Looks very nice. A minor criticism vis-a-vis the eLeaf is that it's very boxy... the iStick looks a little more ergonomic. But that's a nit pick, admittedly.

If I do want an upgrade, I'd consider an eVic VTC mini... or perhaps the full size eVic-VT if i eventually do want something bigger... 5000mAh integrated batt is impressive.

IPV D2 with a Super Tank Mini is about a 1/4 inch shorter than a istick 20 with a ST nano and a little more than a 1/2 inch shorter than a subtank mini kit.

My best stealth mod is a istick mini 20w and a GS16s tank with a GS air base and coil with 36mg juice. Here is a pic of a 10w mini with the same tank next to a istick 20. The mini 10 has been replaced with a mini 20, works much better at 15-18w.

I also prefer smaller mods. If I can't comfortably carry a mod in my pocket then I am not interested in it. My Wismeck Presa 40 watt (topped with a Subtank Mini & 1.2 ohm coils) is a great little stealthy mod that I use every day. It fits in my hand like a tube mod but is vv/vw and has a screen and USB pass through charging.it's perfect for my vaping needs.

Never seen a goblin Mini so after reading your post I googled it...
Right off the bat I didn't like the fill screw on the bottom of the tank..
I had a R91% that fill screw leaked alot, plus it scratched the hell on top of my mod screwing the tank on and off at the 510.. Screenshot says it all, least it does for me, lol

And it's an absolute nightmare to get wicking right. My real good buddy had one and could never get it right, gave it to my other buddy, same thing. The 3rd guy to get it got it working somewhat ok but what a pain in the rear it was to get it set up and wicking.

It's really not that bad. There's a specific way to wick it that I find works well with most RTAs, but is a necessity for the Goblin Mini (see pic). And the screw bottom, while a bit annoying, also really isn't that bad. Plus it's there because Youde removed every piece of unnecessary material from that tank, making for a super small profile with full size capacity.

I currently have it with a dual coil, 6 wrap titanium build, and it's stellar. That said, in single coil mode it works splendidly. Generally speaking I find single coils perform very similarly to duals when using temp control.

Suggestion greatly appreciated, though I don't think I'm at the point of building coils. That eGo ONE you see in the OP is sufficiently small enough, has a 2.5mL tank, which is fine by me.

Right now I'm vaping "Yo Mama's Waffles" by Artisan Vapor. A tad pricey at $15 for 39mL (15% off) but not bad for a brick and mortar shop. It's freakin amazing... it tastes just like it sounds .

I have an eVic VTC Mini kit and a super teeny tiny KSD Vamo 25W box on the way to me. Both should match up well with a Lemo Drop or an eGo One for my new stealth setup. Right now my pocket rig in a Cloupor Mini and a Lemo Drop. I decided to get the KDS 25 box mod so I can put my 18350s back into circulation. It isn't powerful or TC but it will be extremely pocket friendly. I'll use the eVic VTC for more power and TC along with a Crown tank, but that's for quality vaping, not stealth.

Yeah, those eVics, both mini and non mini, are intriguing mods. I guess if I ever got one it would have to be the full size... no sense in having an iStick and an eVic mini... eVic VTC can be for home, iStick can be for the road

I know a lot of vapers like mods with internal batteries while others look for changeable batteries. I much prefer mods that let you swap out the battery when it gets low. That's the key difference (for me) between the eVic VT & VTC. When it dies you can throw a fresh battery in and you're back to having a fully charged mod in seconds. That's the only reason I never ordered an iStick or the eVic VT. Still, loads of vapers love built in batteries, so it's great that we have so many options.

Easy fix for the power backoff. Just take a dremel and take the chrome off the inside of the bottom plate where the negative of the battery touches the bottom plate, and on the area around the four holes for the allen screws. The power back off is as a result of that plate not getting a good connectiopn to the negative off the batt, and a good connection to the case because of the chrome plating. There are a few good vids on Youtube on the fix. Works perfectly afterward, take less than 5 minutes to do.

I would substitute a small, fine flat file for the sandpaper, and the drill should work fine for the holes.
On my first 2 I did the top plate as well, on the third, just the bottom..I see no difference. I also applied some conductive grease to the allen screws. Couldn't hurt to do the top plate though.

Well, the batt is 5000mAh, it comes with a tank when you're in that price range (at least online), and it's a 60W Temp control. Not many fixed batt mods have that much going on...

I will admit you've swayed my mind a bit. The iStick is working great for now, and it was not expensive... no need for an upgrade at this time. But yeah, that internal batt could lose its charge over time... Maybe an IPV D2 as an upgrade someday?

I've got 6 iSticks... 3 30s, a 40, 50 and the 100. The most I paid was about $30.
When you get up to $60 or $70, I want a replaceable batt(s) as I expect a decent mod to possibly outlast a battery's lifecycle. It's why I don't own an eVic VT.
In fact, they're my only fixed batt mods. To each their own, YMMV, etc. but I figure my logic's sound.
Or as sound as I am at least.

I've got to say, I own mods with internal batteries and that take 18650s. I never minded the 18650s until I got the evicVT. That internal battery was amazing (I had a poor experience with the mod itself and have since sold it, but the battery was excellent). Since then I miss having an internal battery. The size to longevity ratio on these new internals is really nice.

Well, I'm not exactly vaping in the woods too often... as long as I have a passthrough device, I can hook up to the wall, my computer, or the car. Has never been a limiting factor for me.

I don't necessarily vape in the woods, but I do often find myself in places where there is no place to plug in. So for me, replaceable batteries are the better way to go.

Evic vtc mini and goblin mini is what I run right now. Used to have ego one 2.5ml tank with cloupor mini. the goblin mini is way shorter, but 22mm wide. Also have Le magister rdta on the way, that is tiny! I prefer batteries you can swap out, rather carry extra batteries in my bag than be limited with built-in battery.

Did a side by side comparison with the Istick 40wTC and my IPVd2, same height, the d2 is slightly wider.
istick dimensions: 3-1/16"L x 1-3/8"W x 7/8"D
Ipvd2 dimensions: 3"L x 1-1/2"W x 7/8"D

So 0.125 inches fatter for 35w more.

Does the IPV D2 have passthrough charging? I'm not in the market for a new mod yet, but this may be my 'step up' mod.

It's supposedly pass through but I don't use it. I run the LG HG2 300mah batts, one will get me through most of the day, I keep a spare on me and just swap it out when needed.
The IPV D2 comes with a sleeve and I use it.
