I've had it 2 weeks and on second mesh.
26mm. A chamfer on the bottom edge to 24mm where it meets the mod.
I was hoping the 03 landed closer to .11 but was .13 - and 05 is .15.
Both very flavorful. I can actually run the 05 at higher wattage than the 03.
(stopped at 60w rating) Same size as OFRF and Wotofo.
Wicking that works for me:
I use this wick for mesh. It fits and works nicely. Tight enough but not as tight as
the big bow ties by YTers, and no thinning. https://www.fasttech.com/p/9673424
Cut tails between the deck and the base. No thin with this wick but w/other
you might. Fluff. Tuck bottom to avoid threading.
Once wicked I remove from meter/mod and just keep dripping on both ends till its fully saturated.
I’ll wet the coil a little too but by then the wick inside is good to go.
When putting it on the tank I’ll angle the deck to get the top of one side of the wick into the chamber.
Then straighten/push.
Altho I don't vape mesh near its max wattage, Doom X has more air than the og or Unity.
My sweet spots with the 05 mesh is 2 holes at 30-35w or all 3 at 45.
The JFC arrows indicate same direction for both open and close. I don’t use it that way and it works fine.
JFC isn’t easy to see in all lighting. Marks to indicate closed would have been a plus.
It drinks juice but the flavor is really good w/ or w/o the extender.
Billed as being good for single coil, it isn’t.
Also billed as easiest mesh to wick and it is very easy.
Spring loaded clamps are nice and the screws are very good.
Machining is also very good. And that top cap?, while being threaded (boohoo), it lands exceptionally well and is butter.
I owned Unity (sold) and still have og Doom. While I’ll hang on to Doom, Doom X will take it’s rotational place, is better than the 2 other mesh RTA’s I’ve owned.
