adding a flavor to a custard base.

i have a lot of this custard made and i really liked it . but after steeping for a month it seems there is a flavor missing ? dull taste. i want to add a little something something if you catch my drift, to add a note or even dominate and leave the custard in the background.
custard recipe:
French Vanilla Deluxe (TPA)
6.5%

Marshmallow (TPA)
1%

New York Cheesecake (CAP)
6.5%

Vanilla Custard v2 (CAP)
8%

i am a big dessert fan and don't like fruits. what i have (that crossed my mind) are FA and TPA Caramels, FW Butterscotch,TPA Dulce De Leche, TPA Bourbon, TPA English Toffee , CAP and TPA Graham Cracker, RY'S ETC...instead of starting from scratch i thought i'd ask if anyone had an addition that sets their custard off. i don't mind ordering flavors at all. its just my flavoring is already on the high side so i probably won't want to add much . maybe a Coffee ? all help is greatly appreciated. TIA <*}}}>{

Adding caramel would make a nice flan type. I have yet to find a fantastic custard.
There is a a vanilla custard recipe called nillar custard in the recipe section that I thought was pretty good. Not sure how it steeped out though past 2 weeks, my friend stole the rest....bastage!

Have you tried INW Custard? Not bad but not great, still needs to steep some more to try again.

I'm really searching for a plain custard. No vanilla, rhubarb, lemon etc. Like those old farts wanting a straight forward tobacco flavor Lol. After you told me that INW was alright. I will pass for now. Our taste buds are remarkably similar. I want something to use to make a Cuban coconut pie. After I tasted Guanabana from Flavorah. I'm on this quest to bring my childhood favorite foods back into my aging picture. I need a custard that tastes like my grandmother Mamita's ! :D

I get what you mean, I have tried some good custards but nothing that makes me go wow.

I take that as high praise when you say we have similar taste
