Adding nicotine to 3mg 80/20 VG/PG premixed juice

I recently ordered three 100ml bottles from E Juice Connect and I normally vape 12mg nicotine juices but these only come in 3mg.

Should I go with VG or PG? I am using a Crown III tank which I have heard people recommend that you don't go with anything under 70% VG or they leak.


I wanted to make sure that my math is correct for adding nic to my pre-mixed juice.

Vd = ( Vo * ( Sf – So ) ) / ( Sd – Sf )

Vo = Volume Original (ml)
So = Strength Original (mg/ml)
Vd = Volume Delta (how much base you add) (ml)
Sd = Strength of Delta (how strong is the base you’re adding) (mg/ml)
Sf = Strength Final (mg/ml)
Here’s what I’m working with:

100ml = size of container I’m mixing into
3mg = original strength of the e-juice
12mg = the nicotine strength I’m aiming for
100mg = the strength of the nicotine that I’m using


Here’s the whole formula filled in:


Vd = ( 100.0 * ( 12 - 3 )) / (100 - 12)

12 - 3 = 9
100 - 12 = 88
100 x 9 = 900 / 88 = 10.22727272727273 ml or grams of 100mg/ml nicotine

You must be a chemist/physicist/engineer...

Your math looks correct to me. What is the pg/vg ratio of the original 3mg juice? If it's 30/70 and you want to stay at 70% VG or above then you will want your nic in VG. Be aware that you will need to shake the VG based nic solution to insure the nicotine is evenly distributed immediately before adding to the existing juice.

Unless you use 50/50 VG/PG Nicotine you will change the ratio of the original e-Liquid. Good Luck

I would just go on ELR and add 9 mg's of 50/50
