Adding Vodka, Rum, Saline solution, Vinegar

I have been wondering, I know that vinegar is commonly used to change the PH on a juice, so it deliver a different taste to it, vodka can be added to deliver some TH, saline solution to improve vapor? (not sure about that last one)

But, how about different rums? Or wines? or different vinegar (like white grape vinegar), or Tequila? etc.

Since I haven't seen anyone adding those, I want to know if there is something against adding them (of course in moderation, like 1%)

I know that sugars will gunk up pretty fast a coil, but other than that, what are the cons about adding them?

first, you want to stay away from any added sugars.. alcohol does contain that..
the most varity i use in mine is:

151 white! rum (i do post on this in some of my recipes here, maybe?)
vodka
everclear

all three can be used for "throat hit" (or you can buy flash, found at ecx)

i use only 2 vinegars (the rest have sugar)

your lungs do not function like your stomach.
they can not absorb things like sugar and it will lead to complications over time.

Another reason is diacetyl. So it's better to stay away from rum, brandy, and stuff like that.

And can these be used with tobacco flavors?

Lemon juice and white vinegar are the most commonly used. ACP is also used.

I can't make statements about the security of those. Any e-liquid you will buy will contain those, generally.

With alcool, only pure alcool or non-aromatic vodka are used.

yes.. it depends on how much you use and what you are using as well as what you are trying to achieve..
start off with tiny bits.. around .15% and work up..
it does not take long, effects are noticed immediately, some will mellow out with steeping..

Washes the flavors out.

Will do. I have only tried 2 small batches so far and I now use them for paint remover. LOL Got discouraged so everything is in the closet now while I gain more knowledge.

Yes. Non flavored white or cider vinegar, and plain lemon juice, no added sugars.

I kind of go by HIC's way of thinking of less is more in the flavor area to cut down on my PG intake.
So the ACV could have washed the flavor out a bit.
I did grab the wrong bottle on a tester and used straight ACV.. I was a snarling cussing mess cause I thought the flavor went all wonky.

I do not dilute any lemon juice or vinegar, but you may have used too much..

No mine was used straight and I grabbed the wrong bottle.. I thought I was adding a tobacco flavor but was acv at 1%. Shook it and vaped to test before it dawned on me I was vaping vg/nic and ACV.

Has anyone tried a 10% citric acid solution that prefers real lemon juice? Happen to have a bottle of this NOW-Foods powder, "100% pure." Gotta stop impulse shopping at 4am.

Or can anyone confirm that a drop of 10% CA roughly equals a drop of lemon juice for mixing purposes?

Also I'm trying to generate a rule of thumb or sensibility for whether to use vodka or rum and at what %-range for diluting VG heavy juice and/or modifying the finish. I have no experience with these and I don't know whether to expect a different taste or TH or both from each... I guess I'll find out, though it'd be nice to shop informed!

The only ones I have used on a regular basis are not the listed.
Bitter wizard if I need to bring out more of a bitter note than sweet.
vape wizard.
I got another that kills the overly sweet without slaying the ph.

As a general rule of thumb that I use when thinning VG, I try to keep the diluent less than 20 % including flavoring and I usually keep the alcohol portion of that less than 2 % if I use it at all.

Thanks @NGAHaze 80+% VG is my norm too. I'll start with 2% alc in some familiar mixes and see what happens

In some adventurous tobacco recipes I've seen close to 10%

Also I've seen vodka, pga, rum in recipes ... real agave tequila is magical and haven't seen it yet, curious. Hoping that buying the good stuff doesn't matter as much, because I don't usually stock alchy...

i use it, but mainly for extracts, i dont use it often in my juices..
why? because if it is not needed, it becomes an extra ingredient..

Agave does work magic, depends on which and what you are trying to achieve..
if it has added sugars, or things you can not pronounce, then please do not vape it..
