Alien/smok/kopper mod. Don't abuse protects! Help

I've read other posts and I am still lost. Tried cleaning 510 pin with alcohol, it was very dirty, switched from atty to tank, still get atomizer short then don't abuse protects. It's the wife's, when she wakes up and can't vape, oh boy! Lol. Just don't know where to go from here. Thanks in advance! Also I'm not sure if I posted in the proper spot. If not plz advise me where to plz. Thanks

My Smok GX 350 does that when the build is to low to vape , it keeps you from hurting the Batteries and possible venting, that is your regulated mod doing its job to protect you. What tank do you have on your mod and what is your build ?
