Captain America: Civil War is currently in production, with Marvel planning a May 6, 2016, release for the third film in the Star-Spangled Avenger’s series. And while Civil War is the next movie in the Cap saga, it is also so full of other heroes (and some villains) that it almost feels like another Avengers film altogether.
It all started with the reveal that Robert Downey, Jr. himself would return once more as Iron Man, which is pretty much an essential aspect of the Civil War storyline. The comics saga on which the film is based pits Cap versus his friend and fellow Avenger Iron Man when the two can’t agree on how the heroes of the world should respond to a government push to register super-powered beings.
