The Spider-Man franchise has seen its share of controversial storylines and editorial decisions in recent decades. Of those, two particularly notorious stories stand out. One is the abrupt elimination of Peter and Mary Jane's baby at the tail-end of the Clone Saga. The other is the One More Day, which infamously wiped Peter and MJ's marriage out of continuity altogether. Particularly in the case of the latter, there are Spider-fans who harbor a grudge even now. Those fans will be happy to know that Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows presents a world where Peter is both a husband and a father. And if this first issue proves anything, it's that there are plenty of good stories to tell with Spidey the family man.
