It's impossible to fix stupid. To be fair he did say it was mostly user error and then some with cheap and shitty mods, which isnt too far fetched an idea. But really, who knows what happened, the article doesnt give specifics and Im weary about quotes in articles. After reporters, writers, and editors get their hands on a quote and chop it all up they can make it look like whatever they want.

The mod can be a cheap ass clone. That has nothing to do with it blowing up.
THAT has to do with the build and the battery. A mech is nothing but a tube made of metal.
Well who knows? If its constructed super poorly and has jagged pieces sticking out inside it could puncture the battery or short it or whatever. Its probably slim and none odds, but possible
