Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Eleaf iJust 3 with ELLO Duro Stick Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links
Introduction:
The Eleaf iJust 3 with ELLO Duro kit is the latest Vape Stick kit from Eleaf and the newest in their iJust series. It features an internal 3000mah battery and is listed up to 80 watts output, and is a simple non adjustable. It features a 4 color LED for battery charge and is available in a 6.5ml capacity or 2ml TPD capacity version and new mesh coils for the ELLO Duro tank. It’s available in 6 colors, Red, Blue, Purple, Silver, Black and Dazzling (rainbow).

iJust 3 Battery rundown and Performance
The Ijust 3 battery is a non adjustable simple stick with a fire button and nothing else. There is an LED behind the fire button to tell you the battery charge. It’s only active when fired but stays on for about a second afterwards to look at it and fades out. Green is for 60% or more, Orange is 30-59%, Blue is 10-29% and Red is less than 10%. I would have liked the spacing better personally since green can mean almost half dead (60%) or full. I think 80-100, 60-79, 30- 59, and less than 30 would have been nicer. Not a big deal though since at least you have a battery indicator of some sort. The LED is behind the fire button and really hard to see almost impossible in normal lighting.
The stick itself is really nice. I love the design and the coloring is beautiful. It can handle a 25mm atomizer without overhang. It feels well built and is all metal, but it’s also really light. The USB port is on the back and has a tiny LED under it to let you know it’s charging. They don’t list a charge rate however. It uses the standard 5 clicks to turn on and off.
Performance of the stick however wasn’t very good. I’ll explain more in the coil section of how it affected performance. I did test it’s output using 4 different resistances. With a .12 it performed poorly bouncing around between 8 and 50 watts. I can't put a number on it because it was all over the place. With the .15 ohm coil it bounced around from 7 to 60 watts again performed poorly and can't put a number on it. With the .2 ohm coil however it performed fine and as expected doing 60 watts and 3.471 volts. With a .58 ohm coil it performed fine and as expected putting out 3.892 volts and 26 watts. Overall though it’s a fail in my book since it performs poorly with a .15 ohm or less coil and one of the included coils is a .15 ohm coil. It lacks the ability to power that coil properly.
ELLO Duro tank rundown and coil Performance
The ELLO Duro tank is the latest tank in the ELLO line of tanks from Eleaf. It comes with a 6.5ml bubble glass and a standard glass which looks roughly about 4.5ml capacity but I didn’t measure it. There is also a 2ml TPD version available. It has a standard 810 tip with o'rings on it and comes with an included matching resin one which is really nice. It has a 25mm diameter at the base but the AFC has knurling and sticks out a little more. The AFC is on a stopper and easy to adjust and nice and smooth. The fill method is the standard eleaf slide back to expose 1 large fill hole. It comes with one that has a cover you stick the bottle tip into. It works really well to prevent juice from bubbling up backwards and I like it. If you don’t like that, they include a spare one without the cover as well. Outside of that it’s a pretty standard sub ohm tank where you screw the coils into the base and the chimney screws into the coil head.
Coil Performance wise it comes with 2 coils. The HW-N (N stands for net) .2 ohm 40-90 watts rated and the HW-M (M stands for Multi Hole) .15 ohm coil rated for 50-100 watts. Both are kanthal. A few things I want to give eleaf credit for is they actually list them as Kanthal, I think all manufacturers should list the wire material no matter what it is. Secondly I want to give them credit for not calling them mesh coils. They are similar to mesh but not mesh. The “net” and “multi hole” names that came up with are pretty good descriptions. I have a Picture in the album of the HW-M taken apart. For the performance, I’ll start with the HW-M coil. Overall it didn’t perform well, but i can't blame the coil. It always felt underpowered and flavor was very muted even turning down the air a lot (too much air on the tank for these coils) I ran 65ml through it and it wasn’t burnt but never performed well. The reason I can't blame the coil is the stick itself just doesn't perform good enough to power it. I can't understand including a coil in a kit like this that can’t be powered by the stick. It would be like including a TFV12 with an AL85 mod in a kit. Makes no sense and causes poor performance. Now onto the the HW-N coil. This one is more apt for the battery. Based on my test it’s running at around 60 watts and is rated for 40-90 watts. Normally pretty good. Still it feels underpowered and the performance again is poor. Flavor isn’t very good. Even with the air turned halfway down it’s a lot of air and too little vapor production. Like all premade coils there will be variances as well and mine reads at .18 on various mods and my Tab meter. For the hell of it, I through the tank on another mod with the HW-N coil and at 75 watts with the air half down it’s a pretty decent performing coil. A little above average in the flavor department. So i can't blame the coils, but they just aren’t suited to pair with the poor performing iJust 3 stick.
