I've decided I wanna try my hand at DIY, and wondered if anyone has any advice or pointers for me? I found a few places for VG like Bulk Apothecary and even Wal-Mart. Local shop owner I talked to says he strongly condemns DIY as there are thousands of cases of nicotine OD, some are fatal and we all should leave it to professionals like him. (Can give you company name if you wish to discuss it with him lol). Anyone got pointers on where to get what from and what kind of tasty flavors are DIY rookie friendly?

Because he wants your money. Seriously.

My suggestion, is to grab a notebook and cruise the threads here about nicotine storage, calculators to use (so you don't OD, lol), preferred vendors and cruise the recipes section for stuff that sounds good to you, so you'll have a guideline on what flavorings and brands you might want to order.

:blah::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::blah: Shop owner.
:wtf::no::bs:
Take your money and run that greedy stupid fuck knows less than fuck all and nothing other than taking your money at 500% mark up. Fuck him and his shop... professional like him... Holy fucking hell man I would have busted out laughing so hard I would have shit on his floor.
If you can mix a drink, spray paint a wall and tie your shoes (not all at the same time) you can mix ejuice.

ECX, nude nic, and a score of others for nic.
ECX, rts, heartland, momaj for flavors.

Another thing, you can suggest to that shop owner that he/she sign in here himself and see how NO ONE HERE has had that problem. Safety is one of the things we all express to one another. VU has a HUGE DIY section, best around. I don't say that just because I practically live here, but I've heard it on the webs, too.

DIY Rules because of the people here.

But, to answer the OP's original question, with where I get my supplies. Can't say any are the best, just who I use. (Although I had an over and above customer service fix to a problem from Nicotine River)

I personally get nicotine from Nicotine River (I use 60mg/ml in vg).

PG and VG from essential depot or nicotine river or Bull City Vapors.

I buy my larger bottles of flavors from Nicotine river, and usually get my tester bottles of flavors from Bull City Vapors/Flavors. Have used Gremlin diy as well.

As far as which flavors, that can get pretty personalized. We can recommend flavorings, but will need an idea of flavors you like.

Chances are, you will acquire many flavors in a relatively short time. Just an FYI. Unless you are more content and less persnickity than myself, if not most mixers. I just gotta tinker and find the perfect mix.

Lemme guess the shop rocks an AEMSA sticker on his shop.
That in and of it's self is the sign that the dude is a fucking moron.

@DuckysVapeReviews OMG that B&M would totally lose my business. I haven't heard of anyone ODing on nic let alone being fatal from DIY ejuice. Anyway, just starting out I would find a few recipes that sound interesting and just buy the flavors to make those. Saves some money and saves frustrations when you're just looking for a good vape. I use ECX (Underground10 for 10% off) and BCF (VU6 for 6% off) for my flavors as well as Nicotine River for my large size flavors that I use a lot of.

I actually called him on it later that day. Called him on phone and asked him about DIY and he said same thing, when I mentioned I was a reviewer and causally dropped the name VU among a few other forums he hung up on me, repeatedly. I went to the shop today and confronted him. He called me names and cussed me. The apparent owner ran up front and asked WTF we both explained our sides. Long story shortened, the "professinal mixologist" is without a job and I was given a free 10ml of my very first coffee vape I'm in love with. Apparently the former employee was one of those who get a job in a vape shop for the discounted gear and to work little as possible. Owner of Vapor-Stop (www.vapor-stop.com) actually offered to help me learn the tech side to it, just told me to figure out what nic, vg, flavor etc I wanna use and he will give me pointers on rest. Still don't like the fact they must be using a microwave or something to "steep" the liquids because when they hand you the bottle it's pretty hot. Always thought that was a no no.
