I like all kinds of beer, as long as they are brewed complying to the purity law (http://germanfood.about.com/od/drinks/g/What-Is-The-Reinheitsgebot.htm). Otherwise, I'm just getting a head ache or heartburn.

I'm all over the map with my love of beer just like my coil building. But for the most part I'm a hop head. I absolutely love almost everything IPA. During the winter I like stouts and porters. My recent go to is citradelic.

I used to then I made myself drink a lot of them at a beer fest and now I can't get enough.

Holy crap! Looks like I hit the thread jackpot!

So I've found myself lucky enough to have a gift card to a local store called Beers of the World. I've been wanting to get into European beers and that St. Bernardus is highly recommended. I'm probably picking that up tomorrow.

Chef, I used to hate IPA's until this past summer. Try one with citrus notes up front to balance out the bitterness. One I think is great for developing the palate is New Belgium Citradelic. Tangerine IPA at 6% ABV. It's my favorite year round, readily available, session IPA's. Give it a shot!

Currently in my fridge I have an Irish Red and a Vanilla Bourbon Stout.
