I've done with with Ni200. PITA! I now make SS claptons, they work great in temp control.

Ni200 for me is just to hard to work with. But it's so hard to find ss, everyone around me just had k1 or ni

Titanium is a good TC wire I've found. I'm rocking 2mm ID claptons with a 24AGW Ti core and 38 AGW Ni80 wraps in my Bellus ATM. Amazing flavor, and I can take good 10 second drags without worrying about dry hits.

The mod won't read the fluctuations in the outer wires because 38 AGW Ni80 has such a high resistance that it doesn't matter.
