anyone receive the "new rdna40" VS?

@UncleRJ yea i ordered mine about a month ago before this happened and am still waiting for it but they didn't change much on it supposively a larger screen and and a buzzer if you put the battery in wrong and ohh yea fixing the dna board!!

Saw a few different people on a FB group that received the newer version of the rDNA 40w.

I sent my rdna 40 back because of a screen problem and the replacement I received recently has the reverse polarity buzzer, and it does charge quickly using the wireless charger but it heats the unit up more than I like so I just change batteries. The screen may be larger but I can't tell without a direct comparison.

No... the rDNA 40 has the wireless coils built in... the rDNA 30 required you buy the charging coils seperate. If I misunderstood and you mean the device and the charger... then I'll argue with myself and say yes... lol

The rDNA 40 doesn't come with a separate charger... just the USB cable to charge it by. The wireless charge ( Qi compatible ) is the same type of charger used by many smartphones so one charger can be used for several devices.

@rdsok so you only have to buy the wireless charger and not the receiver card for it now?

This post just made my day. I was just searching around for rDNA posts as I just got mine yesterday (loving the pure nickel wire). The reason @rdsok made my day is my buddy got one a few months ago and ordered the charger as well. So I just had him try it without the charger and it works just fine. He had a bit of a dOH moment for sure!
