I just came across a russian 91% and every build i see online is up near 1Ω or higher.. And bein vaped between 10-and 20w.. I havent started experime ting with it yet but im wondering if i would be ok to build lower and run higher.. Im thinkin something like .4Ω and maybe vaping around 40w.. Id love some feedback on what you guys think and some of your experience with the Russian

They were not designed for that low of a build, you will melt the insulators. The Kayfun and Kayfun style tanks, including the 91% produce the best flavor and vapor at 1+ ohms. They are MTL only.

What He said.....Not a subohm tank....Below .8 they get hot as fire and the airflow isnt sufficient to cool the deck....You'll melt schtuff....

Thats kinda what i figured..that they were designed for a certain type of vaping.. Thanks for the feedback..now i know its not a good idea to try a lower build

I got the best Vape out of it at .9 Ohm as well. You can try it with vertical coil that is wicked from outside with full galleries as well.

Since the Russian 91% is similar to the Kayfun, I build a 0.8 Ohm in my Kayfuns (when there weren't any Sub Ohm tanks), without melting the insulator. However, be careful when dry burning the coils, that's when I damaged one insulator. :)

Good times. I still have a baggy full of spares somewhere.

I just started vaping a few months back.. I've been getting into RTA so I figured I might as well try the earlier stuff so that I can know my history.. LOL.. I have a Kayfun 5 in the mail and just happened to stumble across a Russian 91 yesterday.. I haven't really got the Russian to give me a vape that I enjoy.. Hopefully I can figure it out and if not then I hope the Kayfun 5 gives me what I'm looking for

Russian 91 is mtl rta and it does great ...what is supposed to do.if you are mtl vaper you'll love it once you find proper build for it. Mostly they are built.6-1.7 ohm because of limited juice and air supply. Anything too big or too hot will give you dry hits quickly. I quit smoking with kayfun lite and moved to dl slowly. Kayfun 4 is mtl to very restricted dl, and I have not even seen KF 5 but I stopped looking into mtl rtas. Let us now how you like it. Still have that modified KFL that got me off Cammels , I'll keep it for good memories:)
