I was looking for a budget dual 18650 device. Was thinking about this or the Cloupor GT 80W. There are a few good reviews on youtube. Still debating...

Well to me the chip is the decision maker there, can't really go wrong with that chip in it.

One review I watched had the reviewer take the mod apart to check the chipset, and after doing some research, he concluded it was a YiHi chip but since there is no micro usb port, you can't upgrade the firmware. Still, for the price,
it seems like a solid device.

Yeah as you say for the price don't need that upgrade. If you are after an accurate 100w TC mod, can't do much better than this at that price in my eyes. Ordered one anyway.
