Note: I've watched all 13 Aquarius episodes and compiled a big Season 1 review here. Now, I'm going back through each one and giving and laying down an individual review. These will be short-takes though.
Aquarius revved things up for its final season endgame with "Your Mother Should Know," featuring a disturbing visit from Mama Manson, a murder case involving Bunchy's bodyguard/brother, and an imprisoned Emma.
The Brian side of the story pulled quite a bit from tired narc tropes as he found himself between a rock and a hard place after witnessing Guano's lieutenant swiping from the supply. And while Guapo came off a little dumb by believing Brian's off-screen solving of the steal, I enjoyed the idea of using pictures of morgue bodies as proof that Brian had killed the guy responsible. Plus, he took - like - a stack of those photos with him to make it seem like he was way more in the murder business than the drug trade.
