Are all juices created equal...?

So, I just got myself a new Spinner coming from an Evod/Ego 650mah, and it made a world of difference to me. I'm using Kanger and VapeOnly/Aspire BDCCs. I've been on a mocha/hazelnut cap kick lately, and decided to try out a strawberry flavor for a change.I've got the Spinner on 4.2, and it produces great flavor/vapor/TH when I'm using the coffee flavors... not so much with the strawberry. It's gurgling and leaking and keeps putting juice in my mouth. Do I have a leaky tank or do I need to adjust the voltage? I know different juices require different power, but I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with the density of the juice - what makes juices thick or thin? Any suggestions/tips?

What is your PG/VG ratio with the E-liquids you are using?

I know for sure the Mocha Cap is 50/50, the strawberry is the same as far as I can tell, and they're 12 mg.

What may have happened when you removed the base to add more liquid, you may have loosened the coil head which has caused a leak. Remove the base, tighten the head (finger tight only) put the base back on.

Then get a paper towel, point the base of the unit at the ceiling covered with the paper (removed from your battery of course) and blow into the drip tip into the towel and that should clear the excess liquid from the coil and the air connector.

It may take a firm blow or two but it should work.

You are not a fool at all!

Just new at this and just needed a small shove in the right direction.

I have had the same thing happen to me with my ProTank's when they first came into the marketplace and it took me a while to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. And no one else had figured out what the problem was at that point or how to fix it as there was no experience base to consult with.

You would have been slightly foolish not to ask.

Remember, we were all new at one point even Vapor Joe!

I took the thing apart and made sure the coil head isn't loose, blew into the drip tip pointing up, and I'm glad to say it's working as it should. Just need to keep an eye out to make sure it doesn't happen anymore. Thank you, UncleRJ! :)

Can you tell me anything about the "density" of juices? I read somewhere that some juices are more likely to leak/crack the tank... is that correct info, and if so, what might those be?

uncleRJ knows. :)

before he gets here, i will just tell you if you are using glass or steel tanks, don't worry about tank cracking juice.

Ask and you will receive.

This is the most complete list I have found.

But if you have a glass or steel tank, you don't have to worry about what you put in it!

also.. something about all juices, as they are not all the same..

a 50-50 blend, 50pg-50vg is going to be a lot thinner than a 20pg-80vg
not all atties can handle thicker juice..

So, VG is the thickener. The higher the VG content, the thicker it is...? No matter what flavor it is?

Are there tanks more suitable for thicker juices, as opposed to tanks that are better suited for thin juices? Also, do coils play any factor in this at all?

yes, the higher the vg percentage, the thicker the juice..

Are there tanks more suitable for thicker juices, as opposed to tanks that are better suited for thin juices? Also, do coils play any factor in this at all?

High vg is normally used in what is called "drippers", occasionally maybe a kayfun or taifun, but not often.. they use around a 65vg35pg to 75ishvg25pg..

coils that are small will only burn/use so much juice.. the larger the coil you go.. the faster the amount of juice you go thru..

maybe someone else can help out here on this.. I mainly drip.

Is this only for MBV juices? Also, when they say break - what do they mean? Cracks? Shatters? Spontaneously combusts? :)

The list is a good point of reference. Liquids from different makers may be different. If you order the same flavor from two different sources, one may crack tanks and one may not.

Tank "Crackers" can mean different things to different types of plastics. They can cloud the plastic, they could crack the plastic and in worse case scenarios they can even melt the plastic portions.

That is why I mostly use glass tanks.

So - based on the info above - tanks only play a minor role when it comes to "thick" juices, and that coils are more likely to affect the results.

Based on everyone's experience, which tanks/coils offer the best bang for the buck? I understand I'll get different answers from different people, but I'm cool with that...

You didn't do anything we all haven't done when we first started out.. you will learn over time what makes these types of things happen..and how to avoid them

each tank will give you different issues at different times - things can go smoothly for a week, and then every day you can have issues over and over - i usually just use trial and error until I find out what fixes it.

My favorite go to tank for when I leave the house is the Kanger Evod 2 in glass, works well in the 50/50 pg/vg range but I have used thicker 40/60 pg/vg in it all the time. I have the least problems with these and the Aero tanks.
