Are these the right batteries for gpriv 3 sub ohm tank?

The Sony / Murata VTC5a's you have now should still be alright to use.

Do you have an external battery charger for them?
It's always good to have an extra pair of batteries with an external charger.
One set can be charging while the other is in the mod.

Cool, yea I have external battery charger, I was wondering is it bad to charge the batteries inside the gpriv?

I have tried both ways
For me it is a lot better to use the external charger.
It's not bad for mod or batteries to charge with the usb port.

I noticed that after I used the usb to charge for extended periods of time the batteries would say 100% but when I put the batteries in the external charger they weren't fully charged.
I had this happen with a couple of different brands of mods
But then again, I've heard of people using the charge port with no issues.
Some mods charge better than others.

I found a thread about external vs on board charging.
it's an older thread but still a good place to see how people feel about it.
