Hey!

Newbie here. Been lurking and reading your awesome posts for ages... but now I have a question!

I've just bought an aromamizer with velocity deck and the 3 post deck.

I know all about ohms and making coils etc

But I need to know about Quad coils.
I want to make a vertical quad coil on the velocity deck and also on the 3 post deck.

My question is, do I need to ensure the leads go into a specific hole or does it not matter as long as they are all secured.

My thinking is that I can put a lead into top left and a lead into bottom right, then on the coil next to it I can put the lead top right and bottom left and then repeat on the opposite side.

I guess my question is... can i anchor 2 leads with 1 screw or will that be an issue.

All the videos and pics I've looked at are too vague or not clear enough on where exactly the leads get anchored...

Any help much appreciated, even if you need to tell me I'm an idiot! =)

Thanks in advance guys

One lead to each post...No matter how you set the coils, you can do a lead from each coil into one hole...its not as good as a connection though (see 3rd & 4th pics).

So I can't do a vertical quad coil set up on a velocity deck.

As far as I can see, the pics that you have provided are dual coil set ups. I'm fine with dual coils, one lead of each coil into each post.

So 4 legs are 4 holes in posts, no problem.

I want to know what about doing a quad coil set up... so 8 legs but only 2 posts/4 holes in total.

Can i put more than 1 leg in each hole? If so, how?

Sorry if I have misunderstood your reply.
Thanks for replying :)

Like these coils, for example. A vertical quad and a horizontal quad.

Each on 2 post velocity decks.

But where do all the leads go...? 8 leads, 2 posts, 4 holes.

I hope this makes sense???

I've confused myself again. I am so sorry!

To clarify... You're saying I can have more than one wire per hole...?

One coming from opposite sides of deck.

So a quad coil set up would have 8 leads, I'd have 2 leads per hole in the posts...?

As long as the opposite lead goes into the opposing post then it doesnt matter how many wires you put into any .holes, you could mismatch the holes if you even wanted to as long as on each coil one kead goes to one post and the opposite lead goes to the other post (On 2 post decks anyway).
