C4 LP Single Coil RDA
Kinda busy aesthetically but like it anyways, esp deck's design - single coil and dual side AF.
Other points of interest:
9 individual air inlets on either side, at a slight 25º angle
domed top cap
locking barrel
top-mounted grub screws
coil alignment grooves in the walls of the deck
BF pin has 2 separate juice outlets
concave juice well
2 drip tips

I like the looks of this one, hopefully it gets some good reviews.

I like the looks, it'll go well with their squonkers...I need evidence that it doesnt whistle like the other rda I have of theirs though, before I would buy it
airflow looks similar to the recurve which doesn't whistle, with 50% more holes which I would have liked to see on the recurve.

I've only got asmodus mods and this thing looks like a good pairing for the luna so I'll probs pick it up this summer. Hopefully some youtubers review it. I also enjoy that it looks rather fat and stubby lol.

I couldn't find any video on it, not even from asMODus like they did with Nefarius, and it can be bought already from them or VaporRange.

Pretty short, isn't it.

I'm wondering how it will be for leaking. Double bottom seals, and those af holes go through the widest part - so maybe like Recurve.
Did you pick up a Recurve? I had my finger on “place order” but backed out lol.

I bought 2 and love them. The only times they have leaked on me is when I am chain vaping so it is warm and (over) squonk it while holding it on an angle. Great flavor but the airflow is a lot more restrictive than I am used to after vaping pulse 22/24 and DR 22/24 toppers.

hahaha, same hear a couple times.

Well, err...uhhh...I have to own a squonk mod first :p hehe. I know I can drip but don't want to, so been holding out for something, don't know what, but I know it will be a 2x700 something. Prolly black and stainless Furyan. Till then I have a boat waiting for Squeezer to be put on it, today hopefully.

Yeah I suspect that the Recurve will have dribbling issues with thinner ejuice/hot weather.
Not for my 50/50 juice I suspect.

It was one of your posts that got me on to it. Did more looking around and saw tons of positive. Well made 24$ squonker that comes with those extras and will use the 30T's that are sitting here getting lonesome. :)
So it's all your fault I now have to learn more about ohms law

I tried to google search the rda but good lp came up for images. Asmodus must have just announced this.

Thanks for sharing vape fan!
And the funny part is it's in stock at asMODus and VaporRange. Those 2 companies are connected somehow. I called VR one day and started talking about my account and we talked for 10 mins before we realized I was talking to asMODus about my VR account, so they put me through to them.

Oh that's funny man. Wouldn't surprise me if the owners of the two companies are friends.

Didn't the Zesthia fly under the radar with its debut as well? Think I remember vaping with Vic saying something about that in his review.

Yeah, Zesthia release was pretty low key, as was Nefarius but at least it had a pre order and their own video review. Hasn't been that long since I was looking around their site at squonkers and such so from where I'm sitting this one had no warning.

Their next one has pre order - Fonte Squonk RDA and I like that it has a heat sink just below the tip.

You're way ahead of me. I'm still looking to grab the Zesthia. For some reason I keep forgetting about it.o_O

Think I'll bookmark their site. They have some interesting devices that appeal to me.

@SnapDragon NY told me Eightvape.com has 20% off “MAYTHE4TH” today & tomorrow. It’s where I got my Zesthia if you want to grab one on sale.

This 24mm C4 came in today and it’s 25mm tall with a stock tip, 18mm without.

No squonk mod yet, waiting for it to get here.

I’ve linked some photos rather than post them.

The second tip was a nice surprise since it’s not listed.

It has hex grubs along with 2 spares and I wish they were bigger and phillips. The opening of the screw holes are a little bigger than further down where the key fits, so I had to fish a little to make sure the key was all the way in.

I used one of the FC Omni Coils that it came with, 26x3/38 – 2.5id & .2, and mounted it using the slots for that, in the deck, and you can see how that lines up with AF. There’s 8mm between the AF holes and 19.4mm from end to end, so enough room for bigger coil.

The cap fits in the deck notches and it’s an easy visual to get the AF at least kind of lined up then it goes in place easily. Once on, the resistance to adjust couldn’t be better imo. Easy to turn back and forth without unscrewing atty, yet doesn’t lift the cap/stays in place/ and locks to unscrew the atty.

The AF is restricted DL. But not too restricted, at least for my liking and I’ve been using RTA’s. And it’s very VERY smooth and VERY quiet. Seriously, it’s like a whisper with no whistle or odd noise in any position. Very nice imo. With the difference in restriction, I was pleasantly surprised by the big flavor and large cloud without taking a long pull.

I vaped it at different /AF settings and got good flavor/vapor at all and I suspect I will always run it wide open and personally found that the best. I can’t say that having 9 individual air holes for the AF would be better than the square cut out configuration. Seems like it would be better to be able to adjust each hole from wide open to closed, instead of closing some and not others…certainly wouldn’t hurt,,,,- unless it made it whistle?
Certainly no complaints about AF, that's for sure !

Of the tips that came with, I like the bigger one since that smaller is too small for me, and the cap runs cool with this tip/coil/42w configuration. It warms up pretty good if I chain vape it, but it isn’t unpleasant to vape as the bigger tip is protective. And it cools own quickly.

Wondering about leaking @ AF, I flooded it over some of the air holes for 5+ mins and got nothing out of AF. We'll see how it does with a squonker.

Seems to me this is a well thought out atty. Great flavor and definitely will be one of my frequent go toos.

I’m really happy with the purchase so far and can't imagine why it wouldn't be great on a proper mod.

Now where’s that squonker:xD:

You cheeky monkey! I was just going to suggest the same thing. :vino:

Looks good vape fan and we'll done describing your experience with it so far. Really like the honeycomb airflows and looks like Asmodus did a great jobs on the gold playing. Best thing of all is that you're happy with it.

Thanks for the encouragement. Some day . Buy the time my squonk mod gets here, there will be some pro reviews I'm sure. But I can add my thoughts here.
And I have one now, lol, it leaked out the AF this am because I overdripped. Big question is, is it going to be an easy leaker when oversquonked.
I'm thinking not, unless your bottle doesn't pull well plus you leave the warm atty sitting after oversquonking.

Using 316L SS 30gx3 / 38g I made 5 spaced wraps with 3id to compare to the stock contact 2.5id .
I put the legs at the top this time, but still wound up pulling the coil up a little, putting the jig on the decks provided slots - because it was a little low for getting some AF under it from the 3 bottom holes on each side. Bad pics but at least you can see what I mean and that the AF is ample at this size.
20180512_155258.jpg

Changed the wicking. First time it was unthinned and layed a bit on the deck. That seemed more than needed, not on taste or wicking, but deck space.
This time, still not thinned but cut the bottom of the tail off and gave it a haircut on each side of the coil. Then just tucked it over the edge of the deck and wet tooled it away from the posts into the shape you see. Wicking good, more room for juice.
Can also see how much room from 3id to AF/sides. Remember the air is at an angle, not straight across.

oh yeah...it vapes awesome :stars:

The caps cutout for the AF is right about 4mm x 4.8mm. For the amount of restriction with AF all the way open, if you have one of these it's adjusted accordingly. Since it's harder to see, the Manta is a hair more than 1/2 a hole.

listen to how smooth the air is for this, compared to a Goon closed down

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/asmodus-c4-rda-review-its-a-small-one.417996/

I want one

I don't think an atomizer can cause spitback, its usually a coil plus wicking plus wattage issue imo

Edit: I read up and saw you already bought it and approve, lol
Who? Moi' ? :)
It is, really smooth. Slightly restricted, but it's so smooth and such a nice vape, it's not like your struggling one bit to get vapor. Flavor is, as he says. I think it's an excellent vape. I been squonking and dripping this a lot, not all day - but I've used it I'd say 20 of the last 30 days.
I've used the .2 Oni coil that comes with, and 3 core clapton 3id at a little higher resistance.
I've dripped it on DNA75C and dripped and squonked it on a Hugo Squeezer mech.
@ .2 on the mech with the hardest hitting battery we can get, 30T. Ohm's law says .2 at 3.75V (which is what I believe sag is for this battery) is 70W minus whatever doesn't make it to the coil.
V w/ vic (65w in his vid) says a lot of spitback, mouth full of eliquid, don't oversquonk much. He also mentioned he wicked it about 3 times.
That's far from my experience actually. I have no issue of it spitting. I've overdripped it out the af and not have a mouth full. Same with squonk.
And imo it's hard to over squonk. I mean, you really have to try. I've over quonked probably 3 times out the AF and the first was like, 'ok, let's see when it leaks'.
The vid in post #38 gives some idea of whether or not it easily leaks. When it's time, I squonk it twice like the first 2 times in that vid. No juicemouth, no spitback, no leak. Just full on flavor (and cloud). And wicking, as I'm sure you can see by the deck, is super simple.

And I agree that it's coil/wick/wattage making spitback.

Do you prefer this to the recurve vape fan can’t remember if you bought that or not?

I can’t get enough of that RDA at the moment but this has peaked my interest for sure

I haven't bought Recurve. I want to see that comparison too.
@Vape Fan can you also tell us if normal goon/810 tips fit in it? AV/Derek said they don't but Vic said they do....
I only have the tips that came with attys. Sad huh. Those that I have that are supposed to be 810, don't fit. The o-rings on the stock tip is the reason and putting an o-ring on an 810 that doesn't have might work. The hole in the top of the cap is 12.2 mm and is not chamfered to create a friction fit.
