Aspire mini scratchy issues?

Got a client that sent me this message below. I suggested he dry hits it a few times and try to keep it upright, when not using. He said he does that. Any ideas???

Hey Brad,

Got my new coils! Thanks for the awesome service.

Had a question for you that I hope you can answer. First off, I love the Mini, been vamping it like crazy. But I've noticed that when I let it sit for a while, maybe 15 minutes or more, that the first 10 hits or so are very scratchy on my throat. The flavor is there, but the vape is very scratchy. And this is on new and used coils and with several different blends of vg/pg. was wondering if you have noticed this at all and if you had some pointers? I don't know if it's from the juice sitting on the coil, or maybe it's because I'm in an air conditioned room and the juice needs to warm up a bit. I'm a vaping newbie so, I have no clue.

that has happened to me since the days of dual coil cartos...
doesnt matter if its a kanger tank or a vape only bcc, or a carto or this new nautilus and mini...
appears it could be he and i are suseptable to something in the eliquid...
doesnt happen with drippers or kafun/russians and it goes away after a few good pulls for me

my concern about the bvc is if the wicking material is ceramic, if it is i wont be using the darn things until i see an msds sheet

Good point, could be the liquid. As far as these new bvc coils , I have used them now for over a month, have three tanks going everyday. Have not had this issue. These coils last twice as long, better flavor, and huge clouds. I think it made the full size nautilus better than it ever was. So considering that this has never happened to me, or any other of the 1000 I sold , the liquid used, is probably the culprit

the flavor from the bvc heads is pretty impressive...
seems all folks are interested in is it rebuildable and i feel like telling them if they cant afford the replacement heads they have no business buying the tank in the first place, but i dont...oops, i guess i just did!!
i just get an uneasy feeling vaping on a wick i have no idea what it is made of

I had a problem with mothers milk then switched over to a 70pg 30vg juice and this thing slapped every taste bud in my mouth and now I'm out of my ADV e-liquid. I also use the box to store it in there being that it can stand on it's side and doesn't fall out when pressed in when switching to an RDA. When refilling or switching flavors I let it stand for several minutes then close off the air flow take a few dry pulls and boom off to the races again.

when i change my BDC coils, a lot of times i will get that dry or burnt tasting hit. here is what i discovered works to remedy the situation (for me at least). i blow real hard into the drip tip while the clearo is attached to the mod. no more dry hits. my theory is it forces juice into the coil head, priming it.

well to me it sounded feasible. :p anyway try it and let me know if it works for you.

I used to experience this with all my tanks. I switched to 100% VG, and it's no longer an issue. I personally believe more people are sensitive to PG than realize it.

I signed up just to post here, I was having the scratchy hits issue with my nautilus mini. I used it for a week and didn't have an issue but after filling it one time it started giving scratchy as hell hits. So I figured out that the 4 holes that draw the juice in are covered halfway when the tank is screwed on really tight. I thought maybe this was restricting flow too much, especially with thicker juice, so i loosened up the tank a few turns and exposed those 4 holes fully and presto, no more scratchy hits, back to the smoothness.
