I gotta say, it's a pain in the ass to figure out how much clear liquid you have left in your tank, but I'm VERY happy I have this thing!

Today, I dropped my mod TWICE, and the glass on my Nautilus survived, thanks to the metal mesh of the Hollowed Out Sleeve. Once was on a hard floor, and once was on concrete (and scratched the damn end cap of my ProVari, dammitall!).

I don't think a standard Nauty tank would have survived either of those falls.

Oh, the first one, on a hard floor, tore the bottom hardware apart and I had to use my 510 flashlight to find the stupid pin and spring for the airflow ring.

But the glass made it through unscathed. :)

My experience was very different. I was at the grocery store and dropped my reading glasses. I bent over to pick then up when my mod (with Nautilus hollowed out sleeve) slipped out of my bag. It dropped less than 2 feet. It looked like it was fine but by the time I reached my car I noticed that it was leaking a little. I thought that I had just knocked something loose. At home I filled the tank again and made sure that everything was tight then saw that it was still leaking. I has to look very close to see that there was a fine vertical crack running down the glass. It was hard to see because of the steel lattice pattern. The steel sleeve has saved me from a few bumps but could not stand up to the floor at Krogers. I love the Nautilus and had made sure I had several backups so I am still vaping happily.

The glass on the hollowed out tank is about 50% thicker and then add to that the durability of the metal around it. That said on another forum someone mentioned and I confirmed your capacity drops from 5.5 ml to 3 ml.

Yeah, you definitely lose out on a lot of capacity, but more than likely I'd be dealing with NO tank after several incidents, so I'm very happy to have the 3ml and some protection.

Actually, it turns out I did get a fracture when my tank hit the concrete, but it's held together enough for me to order another. It's cracked, but holding, not leaking, and my new replacements should be here later this week. :) In the meantime, I do have another, but it has a different flavor in it, not my ADV.

Just received this tank yesterday wanted to use it so bad, but saw that it looked a little dirty inside. Tried to remove the pyrex glass from the sleeve and... yeah, still stuck at step 1. How the #*&@ do you remove the glass? I can't get a good enough grip on it to pull it out, any tips?

I prefer the T-Sleeve over the Hollow. It offers better protection for the Mini, does not affect juice capacity and you can still see your juice level through the window. It's a few bucks cheaper as well.

Hey all,
I made an account just to post this: When you (inevitably) do break the glass in your mesh style Nautilus Tank, it can be replaced with a Atlantis replacement glass. I have use a Atlantis, and my girlfriend uses a Nautilus, and recently broke her mesh tank. So I got to thinking that the glass was about the same as the replacement glass that came with my tank. After breaking the glass the rest of the way out with a ice pick and needle nose pliers, I washed the mesh, press fit and... it works!
Looks like Aspire used a product they already made to our advantage.
