Atlantis newb question!

Hey guys, last night I successfully rebuilt 3 of my atlantis coils. My first builds ever. Done a .35 a .41 and a .56. Anyway I've noticed today that this thing seems to be drinking the dang juice. Granted the vapor production is better. I don't seem to have a major leak or anything. Don't really think I'm using it anymore than normal. It's burnt through 4ml in the last 4 hours. The obvious things tell me it's got to be burning it. Just can't wrap my mind around it burning that much more. . Any ideas? I know this probably sounds like a stupid question, but I'm just curious if I have a problem. Thanks

My atlantis drinks through juice with the stock coil. I love the flavor, and the clouds are nice. But I need to come up with some cheaper juice than I have been using in there, or....I might as well go back to smoking, cause the only reason i quit that was the expense of it......

Yes, yes, I like the whole not smelling bad thing, etc.....also. but 99% of the reason I quit was because I was sick of spending 14 bucks a day on cigarettes.

Mine was about 4ml a day with stock coils, with my built coil it's double that

Well put a factory coil back in and the vapor,and air flow is literally half. Sooo it's the obvious that it's burning it lol. Just surprised it's using that much!

you built .3 , .4 , .5 ohm coils and you didnt expect it to drink juice like no tomorrow...really...

Well the stock ones are .5 also,so just didn't expect that huge of a difference.

I've gone through 20ml's on a day off before just sitting in front of the computer rebuilding rda's all day. An atlantis with a .3 ohm build is going to go through juice like no ones business.

I know this is older post but I've tried rebuilding my atlantis coil with no luck, ends up with burnt taste or dry hit. If you would LSX_mechanic can you tell me how you built yours successfully?

What gauge wire are you using?

I've tried with 24 which is what the videos I've seen on youtube used.
I built the coil just like you would for an rda and like the way the coil comes out of the one you buy.
Aslo I built them between .6 - .8 ohms as most videos recommended.
I tried both japanese cotton and organic cotton, if that helps.

I've got it figured out and working now, with a little help from guy near me. I was over wicking the coil ( still a newbie when come to building lol ) thinking more wick more juice but not the case.

In case someone else comes looking for the answer --
I used japanese cotton wrapped around a 24 gauge wire ( length ends up being the width of the barrel ) and it must slide through easiliy with very little resistance if any. You'll have to snip the end of one side of the wire that you feed through. Also leave a little cotton outside both side of the barrel.
This is what worked for me and no dry hits or burnt taste after several hits in a row.

My build is with 24 guage and ohms out at .66 on my jellyfish box. The coil is loose built not tight like for an rda. I didn't dry fire like with an rda build either, but that's just my build. Now that I have it working I'll probly vape this one for a while then build a few different coils to which way I like best for me.
