I guess most of you buy from either Liion, Ilumn or Imrbatteries.
While Liion state on their website (and so does Jon) that they test their batteries, how about Ilumn and Imr?
Anyone has any specific info or feedback in regards to their testing?

Neither Ilumn or IMR specifically mention testing on their websites. You would think that if they did they would mention it. Both are known as good suppliers but I suspect they rely more on their acquisition chain than actual testing to ensure authenticity i.e. they buy from suppliers they trust. I suspect Jon falls into the trust but verify crowd. Illumn did get bit by this with some Sony batts but to their credit fessed up as soon as they became aware and replaced or refunded. I've bought from all three and AFAIK all were genuine. I've had zero issues with any of them.

I know IMR had the thing with selling fake HG2's recently (we also got some of these "HG2's" but they were caught in testing and never sold), so at least at that time if they were testing then our testing process was superior, if they test at all. They do send batteries to Mooch sometimes which also helps. I strongly suspect that at least after the HG2 thing they do at least a little bit of testing but (of course this is my opinion) our testing is very thorough and I don't think anyone else can match it.

No idea about illumn. Again they only seem to rarely have problems so they probably at least have basic testing in place but like you mentioned there was the Sony thing a couple years back with them too.
