Basic DIY juice question

My plan right now is to ween myself off of nic totally. I am currently at 6mg... After my next bottle, I am going to step down to 3mg for a month or so, then go down to 0mg. At that point, I would like to start making my own juice. I have read up on it a little, and I just wanted some pros to look over my understanding to make sure I am understanding the process correctly.

So, if I understand the process, it's pretty simple (remember, 0mg nic)...

The concentrate I looked at has a recommended starting % of 5%.

If I want a 30 ml bottle of juice at 60/40 vg/pg using the above concentrate, I would mix:

1.5 ml concentrate
17.0 ml vg
11.5 ml pg
Steep in cool dark place, until it's ready

The only part I am not 100% clear on is steeping. Is that 100% necessary, or just steep until you are happy with the flavor profile?

Thanks in advance! Cheers!

Different flavors require different steep times, if any is needeed at all. Tobaccos take the longest. Try your mix right away even if it needs steeped just so you'll recognize the changes.

I'd try the juice right away, in order to find out how it is, and take notes. Unless, the flavor is to your liking, let it steep for a week, try it, take notes, etc. this will let you know how long a certain juice needs to steep.

As far as steeping..what they said...LOL It's really a personal preference. Regarding the math, just get a simple calculator like ejuicemeup or one of the others. There are lots to choose from. Congrats on going nic free! :)
