Batteries 101 (Help)

So i know very little to nothing about batteries... by saying that i am a new player entering the vape game. i was reading previous threads about batteries and types and etc... i appreciate knowing the names and which are good but when i read them for example
"MXJO IMR 18650 2500mAh 35A 3.7v Rechargeable Flat Top Batteries"
what exactly does all that mean?? :( from guess i can tell that the 3.7 is the volts and 18650 is the size but what is 2500mAh and 35A ?? and when it says 3.7 volts does it mean dont go over that voltage?

I'm no battery expert. All I've ever used are the AW IMRs that I get at RTDvapor.

18650 is the size, 2500mAh is how much charge it holds, 35A I think is maximum wattage is will output and if the number is accurate is important for sub ohm vaping so you don't blow up the battery, and 3.7 volts is pretty standard for mechanical batteries and means it will charge at 3.7 v(or 3.6) to full at 4.2 and work its way down with use and should be recharged around 3.5 or so. Lastly flattop means there is no button on top. It might not work on all mods and for some reason people don't like them. Either they are less safe or you can accidentally put them in upside down.

Please don't buy cheap unknown batteries. They can be dangerous and there are many false claims and fakes out there.

The A rating is how many AMPS the battery can continuously put out safely. Wattage is a whole other spec that comes about based on your resistance and applied voltage. More watts DOES mean more amps but its not the same measurement.

Also it says 35 amp so it's not the real rating. It's most likely a 20 amp battery. Either an LH or a Samsung.
 
So, how would i wire/build a charging curcuit for a single 18650? it's coming straight from a usb connector off my pc, which i know can put out 500mA approximately. here's a rough schematic that i threw together. anyone have any other input?

So how much current will R1 pass?
How does that circuit protect a battery?
Makes no sense.
You're too cheap to buy a 2 buck board that would do it correctly AND safely??

The Chinese already figured it out, and they'll hook you up cheap. Don't burn down your house, lol.

I couldn't buy the components for the price of an assembled board. Plus, the boards can be used to build a charger on the cheap if you want to solder something.

Whatever. Just that the circuit posted is totally inadequate from any perspective.

Slurp...it's called a chaRger.

If flip was using protected batteries, the circuit that is part of the cell would stop the charging.
If you understand how protected cells work, it is obvious that is not what he is using for the load represented.
