Batteries and charging question from Noob

So, I'm really new to the mod world and have a Sigelei 100w plus which is being powered by two 25r batteries (all hand-me-down from my cousin). So the batteries are not new but when I got them and put them in the mod it said 100% battery life. I used it until it got down to 30% (not sure how low I should go) and decided I would put them on the charger he provided me with too (Nitecore D2). I put them on and seems like the batteries are at different levels of charge from one another. Also didn't come with instructions so I have no clue as to what I'm doing with this charger, luckily it has auto shutoff.

I have attached some pictures of the batteries on the charger if this can help with some answers to my questions. Thanks

Hello, a full charge is 4.2V, your charger will turn off when the batteries reach full charge, this can take several hours if charging at 0.5A. If the batteries never get to 4.2V, it's time to retire them and get yourself a pair of new batteries. Stick with Samsung, LG or Sony. Always keep the batteries married/charge and use them together.
This link will give you info on your charger.

Thanks for the link. Says it is charging at 500mA so I believe that is .5A correct? But then charging bay one is variating in mA's from 460's-508. This a big deal?

Yea, 500mA=.5A, if the battery has been on charge for a while more than likely it has seen it's time in this life. Time to replace.
Many VU members use this vendor for batteries.Honest, good prices, ships fast.

Thanks again. I think I will just take the safe route and get a new set of batteries for peace of mind. Plus I can start at ground zero and learn how everything should go from the start.

That's the smart approach, always battery safety first, the Samsung's are the standard for 20A batteries in the vape world.

3.49V and 3.5V are negligibly different, same with a few 10's of mA in charge rate, I wouldn't worry about either. All seems fine to me. Can't hurt to get another pair of batteries to compare to, you'll use them eventually anyway, but you're likely fine as is.

Perfect advice above.

The violate difference between the two cells you have is tiny. I have a Sigelei 100W and the cells I use end up varying by about 0.01-0.03V if I check them with a multi meter. That's perfectly ok

Another set if cells won't hurt. Like Jon says, you could grab a set of 25R and compare the Vape time with those compared to the older ones. If it's dramatically longer life from the new ones then maybe consider recycling the older pair and possibly grab another set. I have two sets for each series mod I use and alternate them. I keep them in the same patched pairs, and use one set while another charges.
