I have a few battery flasks for the spares that aren't in use.

For 21700's I just keep em in the snap cases.

Whatever you choose make sure it protects from shorting.

I also have at least a dozen cases from LIW too. The Efest... thing... whatever you want to call my pic above :) is for carrying batteries with me. It's MUCH heftier and heavy duty than I thought before I got it.

My stored batteries just stay in plain 18650 cases at home, but this is my everyday carry:

what I think I am going to do = get a nice piece of 1x3x5? wood. drill holes so the batts stand tall. then stain it up nice.
this way the batts are easy at hand.

One thing to keep in mind is how to keep the sets married. That is one of the reasons I use the cases because it is hard to mix them up but I have had 2 sets of 3 roll together and had to go by the markings I make on them.

I have them marked. if I had Manny money, I would get a bunch of different wraps.

thanx, everyone. after posting this, I got to thinking (yeah, I do that sometimes :zombie: ).

If that piece of wood was say 2" thick instead of 1, you could drill the holes at an angle. Then if you set it on a flat surface the batts could point at or away from you. Or, could wall mount it with them pointing up. Wraps are cheap. I use diff colored wraps to keep them married.

I like to put a piece of paper or thin label under the wrap with the battery info on it and use clear or translucent wraps.
Gettin old and need notes :)

Been fortunate though only had to rewrap maybe 4 cells in 4 years of vaping.

Trick to making holders is to use graph paper and layout the center of the holes you want. Tape it to the wood and then punch holes with a nail at the center of all the holes. Remove paper and drill. Forstner bits do the best job.

I used masking tape. marked holes. predrilled. then a spade drill bit. turned out well enough. the next one I make will actually be nice.
and when I get my custom wraps, oh yeah.

That works, the graph paper just makes it easy to space things out evenly.
