With 3.4 million in day-one sales, Battle for Azeroth is the fastest-selling World of Warcraft expansion yet, Activision Blizzard announced today.
Released on August 14, Battle for Azeroth is World of Warcraft's seventh expansion pack since the MMO's 2004 launch. The expansion pack, which introduces new regions and new playable races, costs $49.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Blizzard claims Battle for Azeroth is one of the fastest-selling PC games of all time based on its internal data and reports from some game distributors. It did not, however, provide any of that data or put a number on how many copies of Battle for Azeroth have been sold after its record-breaking launch day.
