So I've bought a few things recently that I'm just very happy with. Someone asked me which was my favorite and it got me thinking. Got the Griffin which is simply awesome. Got the Avocado which is splendid as well, but has to take a back seat to the Griffin. But, then I just got the Mini Volt and damn that's a convenient little travel size mod that's changed my vaping habits. Of course then I also picked up a new Electric kettle the other day which I've been loving. So I'm conflicted on the answer to the question.

Curious what is everyone's best purchase of 2016 so far?

Hmm... I think my best purchase of 2016 was probably the liter of TH nicotine I got for $25 back in January. But I'm soon going to buy a black iPV Mini for $19.99, and considering I got a blue one for xmas for $30, this new one definitely qualifies.

I jumped on an Istick 60 for $23.00 shipped from Aliexpress, and it has been a nice surprise. Love the form factor and performance has been stellar. Great deal for sure.

I started vaping in 2016, so Ive got a lot to choose from lol. I love my RX200 and use it constantly, but I also love the Treebox and how damn classy it looks and feels.

If I HAD to pick something, I guess the best overall purchase was the RX200. Has all the power one could need, super long battery life from 3 18650s, fits the hand really well, is a tough, rugged every day carry, and, in the event of an emergency, it could be used to bludgeon a horde of zombies or Kardashian fans to death because it weighs more than a baby.

Really only thing i've got so far this year is the smok r200. I'm def happy with it small and light. Yet it's solid in your hand. Haven't gave it a proper crash test (it will happen). But i think it will hold up. Also have the Diablo on the way hope its my new fav.

My 'cado, baby. Use this thing pretty much every day, all day. Something about it just fits perfectly for me - simply can't wick it incorrectly, personally, and for being a single-coil preference type a guy it's just scratching the perfect set up itch at the perfect time. I don't think I've used either of my two Griffins, my Aromamizer, Crowns, all my other drippers - I should probably rotate back through, but the Avocado has been the primo purchase of the year so far, hands down. Here's a beauty pic I snapped this morning, cause who doesn't like a free chance to show off?

Where did you find the iPV mini for $19.99?

So far I've purchased a few things. But what stands out the most for me is the noisy cricket. I had forgotten how satisfying the simplicity of a mech is.

I guess I'd have to say my two eVic VTC minis and my Griffin top my list. I really wish they made a griffin with at least 5ml capacity, though. Maybe a 25mm version?:)

Kind of wish they'd make two versions of the 25mm, one shorter and same capacity (short is good for flavor) and one the same height for capacity sake. Hell maybe 3, one with the same ratio of deck size to width to add to those two :D

Hi gang! I'm new here. Wanted a forum to be part of and this looked like the one.

I just bought a Segelei Fuchai 400w the other night. Big bo. Works great with my Kanger SubTank Plus 7.0ml. Still tweaking the settings but I'll get there. It's so big I'll use it at home and use my Kanger Box for travel. Have an Aspire on a Vision Spinner2 by my bed. I don't know what to do with all of the FIN Advanced Vtank units I have though. Maybe Craig's List?

Hope to be involved in lots of chats. Will be doing my first rebuild after this coil is wasted in the 7ml. Can't wait!

Oh, last night I was watching a video on some guy doing a build on a Kanger Mini and decided to see what the heck was inside the 1.5 replacement coil that burned out so fast. Took it apart and I was shocked at how cheaply it was made. The coil was so thin it could have been a curly gray hair of an old woman and the cotton was as thin as 2 pieces of tissue with one thin soggy piece of really flimsy cardboard. Her's some pics.

To get 1.5Ω you either need super thin wire or a ton of wraps, or really both. So you're generally using 28g+ at 40g it's the same as one of my hairs, 36 is about the width of the hairs in my beard. So given you only have a certain size for the coilhead that limits your options, as you need to leave room for airflow and blah blah yeah. All that is why I just build my own coils now :D

Likewise. I started out with rebuilding T3S's, for those you need to use 32ga, and I can barely handle that stuff without cutting myself, so after a while I just gave up and got a Kayfun; started out with that trying 30ga, but there were so few wraps possible, I tried 28ga... which needed 2 many wraps to hit the 2 ohms I was aiming at; when I finally got some 29ga, I hit my sweet spot, and that's what I still use.

I still have yet to hit the holy-shit-this-is-a-home-run! purchase for 2016. The IPV5 shows some promise now that I've gotten around the wonky programming but I'm still lukewarm on it. COV Mini Volt looks awesome, but I won't unbox it until I get my TFV4 Micro tanks in...that setup has promise, I'm thinking...

My favorite 2016 purchase is the Uwell Crown RBA...unbelieveable flavor, no leaking to worry about, holds about 3.5ml's, and is a top fill. I've got 5 of them now...and getting to rebuild them is great, the builds last forever. I change the cotton out if I want a drastic juice change-up, but otherwise I'm going on 2 months with one build. I do a 24 or 26 gauge wire, SS, at about .5 ohms at 35 watts and it's divine. I'm very very happy now with that atty and the Mods I got in 2015..

I can't imagine what they could come up with next, or better. Maybe just smaller mods with more power, and perfecting the ceramic coils? Whatever, I'm just happy as it is now. I started vaping in 2009 and can't believe how far this industry has advanced from what I had to use in the beginning. But don't get me wrong...what I had in the beginning got me off the cigs and I highly valued that little non-powerful, wimpy ecig!

My favorite and daily use mod/tank combo is my DIY SX350J that I built last November with my Arctic tank, but my best and most favorite purchase this year so far..............my white distressed Hex 2.1.

Wait for my tomorrow's vape mail, y'all.
Panzer DNA200 along with Aspire Clieto and Uwell Rafale tanks plus 10 more batteries and two dozens of e-liquids.
Still struggling with the Uwell Crown though

Edit, Diablo tank will arrive later, maybe early next week, so we shall see.

Not sure if this even applies -- Have more than one Crown -- Hated them for a bit. Leaky, cottony, etc.

Realized that it *really is vital* to close off the air when unscrewing the top. AND the tank has to be at room temp. Haven't had a leaking problem since I put those two points to rest. Cotton in the coils, well, I start super low (maybe 15-17W on a 0.5) and "puff-puff" then up a couple, then up a couple, then up a couple (etc., etc.) without ever full-draw hitting. Just to break it in some. VW or TC, haven't had issues since. Yeah, it takes a couple ml to get that "fresh cotton" taste out -- But with many flavors (especially the "darker" tones), it's hard to beat.

Got my vape mail, among them Panzer DNA200 box mod, wrong color, dead battery, so it turned out to be the Worst Purchase of 2016 instead of the best.

My sigelei spark 90w is my new favorite mod. The RX 200 has been getting a little dusty. I really like the single 18650 size devices. And the chip in the spark must be pretty good I get through my work day on one battery at 40 watts . swap it out at 5 with a fresh one. Also the luc 4 charger is very nice for the price point. That stays home and I keep my nitecore 2 bay at work. I forgot the model but plugs into micro USB charging.

Well 2016 is not over yet, but so far. I love the cuboid mod that I got for a rockin deal via vapor joe. but then again the new uwell rafale tank would get a real heads up...if the darn juice fill holes were not so small.

Best purchase so far in this year for me without doubt is the Boreas, fantastic flavour and my only atty that no matter how I place the cotton in, it has yet to leak out any juice. ;)
Second would be the Eleaf 100TC, excellent battery life and I love how switch is incorporated. ;)

But as this year progresses I can see that may change as many atty and mod makers have recently really upped their game :)

I almost jumped on a TM2 the other day, how are you liking it? A lot I take it. Went for a BMI instead which will be here tomorrow
Ive had it since the day after it was released...its one of my all time favorites...Im not a super fan over its airflow but you can use any Compvape topcap topcap on its base. The allen key they provide stops you from stripping the screws out and the whole RDA is high quality...

Thanks, it just went back on the list. Unless I totally fall in love with the BMI tomorrow. But you can never have too many.
