I have been using Kanthal for a while now and im looking to get into the whole TC scene. I dont know much about it. Im looking for a place to get some information on it and the best wire to use. Looking for the differences on wire. I know there is Nickel, Titanium and SS. What is the best and why. Also, do you build them the same as kanthal? My vape is normally .7ohms with a 5/6 wrap around a 3mm.

Stainless steel is the way to go, SS316L. For temp control, the resistance is going to be low. I'd avoid titanium or Nickel, SS has better flavor and is easier to work with. Titanium can catch fire if you pulse it without liquid, burns like magnesium.

Here's a link to a site which has a lot of info on coil wrapping and more: http://www.steam-engine.org/

Not to mention that SS can also be used in power mode if you so desire.
