Hi all
Was wondering what is your favorite
subtank you currently run on your D2..
I've tried several but I'm really liking this Maganus with the stock .5 ohm OCC..
Get good flavor, and clouds are thick as well at 38w...I did try the Atlantis with the Ni200 coils from VaporShark (TC) but didn't like it as much as I do the Maganus... Any thoughts? thx

I'm using it with a black herakles tank I got recently. I'm normally not too big a fan of herakles but this thing is going ok, and the coils are relatively cheap to buy, at least until I find a replacement tank that makes ni200 coils. Not gonna lie it looks pretty sweet blacked out

Keep in mind you really need a .5 coil or above with the D2 since it doesn't have step down. Either that or you gotta use the work around to fire lower wattage.

Step down?
My D2 fires down to .2 ohm all day long..
Don't know why your saying it needs "step down" to do that..here is a screenshot of the D2 specs:

I've been vaping the Maganus with the .25 coil for the past week with no issues at all...

You don't get it. Put a .2 coil on your D2 and set it to 7 watts. You won't notice a difference between 7 watts and 50 watts.

Use your Maganus. You won't notice a difference between 7 watts and 50 watts on the d2.

See what I mean?

The D2 won't output less voltage than the battery has available. It will amplify the voltage, but it won't "step down" the voltage. So it won't output less than roughly 3.5 - 4.2 depending on how charged up the battery is.

Get it?

But I don't vape it that low..it kicks ass at 60-65w ...but I did see what you meant below 50w...hell, I don't vape any .2-.25 ohm coil below 50w...no need when they vape great at the higher wattages. Just sayin

You're right, and I vape the same way. The only time it matters is when you're initially breaking in the coils. You're hitting them with 75 watts which really isn't good. Ideally you'd start low, then increase the watts as they break in within those first few hits. You think you're vaping at 60 - 65 watts, but you're not. You're vaping at 75 watts when you're battery is full. Because again, the D2 doesn't step down. 4.2 volts with a .2 coil equals 88.2 watts which your mod can't even do. This is one of the many reasons I think the .5 coils are the best.

I really do appreciate your view but the little D2 only gets used when I'm driving or down at the casino..
I have other mods set up I vape in rotation at home..the Maganus tanks came with a box of the .25 coils.. I'll use them and keep in mind about the .5 coils when I re-up next month..little D2 is on the far left.. I really like it for what it is. A great little power-packed mod, lol

No problem dude. I just thought someone with such a collection should understand what they're actually doing.

Fyi, all your ipv's pictured there are able to step down, except the D2.

Lol..been vaping three years and still learn something new everyday...but that pic is only the mods I have set-up to vape in rotation thru the day with different flavors to avoid flavor burn out..

From my own - admittedly crude - testing I'm getting 3.74V with a .5 ohm coil and a fully charged battery. This occurs anywhere below roughly 30W. At about 30.2W it jumps to 3.85V on my inline meter then progresses from there as wattage is increased. So it's not getting down to the advertised 3.6V rather to 3.74V but is steadily regulating from 3.85V and up. At least mine is.
Edit: I don't have one of the .2 coils handy but at 3.85V it would be putting out just over 74W so you're absolutely correct it's pretty much maxed at .2 in power mode.

I appreciate you posting that with the .5 ohm coil...because the D2 also has TC have you happened to check what a .05-.07 nickel build would read in Joules mode using that inline voltmeter?....just curious, lol
To me it's no big deal..I mean the little mod vapes great for what it is and is cheap to replace..But because I do like the D2 I'm thinking about ordering
the high end SX Mini M class as my next upgrade... A friend let me vape his a few times down at the casino last night and it was indeed an impressive little mod.. Its still about $200, but hell, I usually win that much playin' the slots, lol

Once you go to TC it's using PWM and the inline meter is useless. The voltages in Power mode appear to be a straight DC signal as it gives a perfectly steady reading. Those are readings of what's being delivered to the coil. 30.2W should be 3.89V with a .5 ohm coil and I'm reading 3.85V real time so given that it's a cheap Tobeco meter that's pretty darn close.
